we were going to get married in the registry office but we found a beyond awesome deal for a civil ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening buffet etc. How long does a civil ceremony go on for when its not in a registry office?

It was one of the options we considered early on, can't remember why we decided against it now

Ours was about forty, but we had 3 hymns. I think civil would be 30 max.

Civil ceremony is actually only 5 mins long. Its what you add into it that makes it longer. You can choose longer vows/ readings etc. Also allow 5/ 10 mins for pics after you have signed the register. xxx

We got our vows and options for getting married in a hotel and it says 20-30 minutes depending on how much u want the registrar to say and what u want to say. Im not big on saying loads in front of people and i rekon il probs go to bits so we chosing short vows and just the standard registrar words so 20 minutes. Short and sweet does me fine :) xx
