Hi,

We're getting married at 12 noon in a registry office and then travelling o have a sit down meal for a few family and friends at three, and then t seven we're having a buffet and disco (at the same venue). My question is that we may go home between the ending of the meal and the start of the buffet, would it be silly to go back to the venue in my dress?

All your guests I'm sure will love to see you in your dress all day until midnight.

I wore mine from leaving my parents house for church until I went to bed. Wedding dresses are so expensive so get your £ per hour down lol xxx

BTW best choose the dress category for your thread before a mod smacks your wrist xxx

I'd say stay in your dress if that's what u want, it's definitely not a silly idea,it's ur wedding day! I'd sleep in mine if it wouldn't be uncomfy lol x

Hell if anyone would get me out of my wedding day that i spent 3 weeks worth wages on

and to be honest with meal at 3, if it starts on time, and with speeches, doubt you will have much time to go home x

You'll have to tear my dress off me unless its the absolute end of the night and am in the hotel with H2B! He'll be tearing it off anyway! Deffo not wasting all that money on it to change! Lol!

I got into my dress at 12pm to get married at 2pm. Once I was in my dress the girls could get into theirs and I found I got more comfortable the longer I was in it (as in I adjusted to walking in it). I wore it until the end, we got our cab at 11pm to our hotel but it took me forever to get back out of it again!

I say wear it all day! your evening guests wont have seen you in it and also it's your one chance to wear a wedding dress!

I first put mine on at 12:00 on the day (wedding was at 1:00) and i didn't take it off until i literally went to sleep at 5:30am!! i can safely say i think i had my fair share of wearing it :) x

I love the idea of two dress - on day and one evening. But with the logistics of changing and because I love my day dress so much I doubt I will change.

I'll be getting into my dress around 11.30am for pre-ceremony photos (ceremony is at 1pm), and plan to keep it on as long as possible; we have a 1-1.5 hour gap between the end of the wedding breakfast and the start of the evening reception but I'll be keeping it on for that time (we'll probably entertain a few people in our suite). But, our reception could go on as late as 3am, so, I have a 'back up' dress in case mine gets too heavy or uncomfortable.

I don't think it'd be at all weird to go back wearing your dress, esp if you have extra guests coming to the evening 'do. Plus, you only get to wear a wedding dress once, so you may as well make the most of it! ;-)

wow, love this post... I want to be in mine as long as I can.... ceremony at 1, so I get picked up approx 1200, so I guess ill be in it by 1115/1130 for photos... I need to get my moneys worth, its the only thing apart from a car and a house that I will spend this much money on :-)
