We are getting married at 1.30pm and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how long it took them to get ready from when you got out of bed to being ready to go. I aren't the type of person who enjoys getting up early and my mum told me we would all be getting up at like 6am?! Someone please tell me I won't have to get up that early? x

My hair took the longest, about an hour and a half. Then when we got to the venue about ten mins for my make up as I done it, then about 15 mins to get into my dress.

I was up at 5.50am, ready for the hair and make up lady arriving at 6.30am. I had to leave the hotel at 10.30am, for an 11am ceremony. It was just myself and my MoH that had hair and make up done and she was gone by 9.45am.

I got married at 2pm & my hairdressers appointment was at 10, that took about an hour and a quarter, then back home to do makeup & get into dresses. I think we were done about 1/4 past 12 when the photographer arrived (I didn't want any 'getting ready' pics). He left about 1.15 and we then left for church at 1.45. Hope this helps x

I got married at 2.45pm (I don't do mornings lol). I spent the morning doing last minute things, such as collecting the schedule from the registry office (we needed to give it to the minister at our venue before the ceremony) and collecting flowers for both mums.

I got back to the hotel at about noon and had a shower and the hairdresser was booked for 12.30pm, but she was delayed and arrived about 1pm. She only had myself and one bridesmaid to do though, so only took about 3/4 of an hour. Once she'd gone we got ready and did our own make up.

My bm left with the best man, usher and groom at 2.25pm and was ready with time to spare. In fact I was ready before she left as well, then finished up killing 15 minutes hanging around waiting for the transport lol.

I hardly slept the night before and was wide awake by 5am and in the bath by 6am.I had a lovely long soak and then washed my hair and went down for breakfast at about 8am(stayed at the venue) My hairdresser arrived at 9am to do my hair, daughters and Mums whilst i did my makeup. She left at about 11am when i started getting my daughter into her dress.I suddenly realised at about 11.30 that i better get a move on and it was a good job i did as i was only just ready to go at 12.30pm for my 1pm wedding....but then i ended up being 20 mins early but thats another story!
Sorry to break it to you but you will need to be up early and even if you don't need to believe me you will be! xxx

We got married at half 1 but i couldnt sleep and was up at 5. It took me agggges to eat breakfast so leave plenty of time for this! The hairdresser and make up turned up at half 9 as was doing my bridesmaids also but took 1.5 hours for my hair, 1 hr for make up. Allow an hour to faff and half an hour to get in to your dress and have piccys taken! So, taking into account breakfast etc, i would give yourself approx 5 hours in the morning so you need to start having breakfast by 8 :-) from my experience anyway xx

    We're getting married at eleven.

So far my schedule reads like this:

6.30 wake up, bath and dry hair
    8.00 breakfast
9.00 do make up and hair (I'm doing it myself and not doing much different from my usual style as I have short hair)
9.30 into dress, bms arrive in their dresses etc. touch up makeup, last minute adjustments etc
10.15 photog arrives, few group shots of me with bms, parents etc
    10.45 meet with registrar
    11.00 get married!

Hopefully shouldn't feel to rushed, was worried about timing a bit but as I'm doing my own hair and makeup, shouldn't be too bad xx

I think it depends on lots of things eg will you have to go to a salon to have your hair and make-up done, or are they coming to you? Are you getting ready at the venue, or at home? If at home, how long do you comfortably need to leave to get to the venue? (allowing for traffic and meeting the registrar beforehand) Are your bridesmaids having their hair and make-up done by the same hairdresser/make-up artists? Is your dress difficult to put on? Etc.

In my case, our ceremony will be at 12.30/1pm (undecided as of yet). I'm getting ready at the reception venue, which is a 2 minute walk from the ceremony venue; me and my mum are having our hair and make-up done, my BMs are doing their own, so will be able to get ready at the same time as me. My dress is fairly easy to get into, ad I'll be showering/washing my hair the night before, not on the morning, as I can't have freshly-washed hair. So, I plan to get up at 7.30/8am, which should be MORE than enough time (my hair will take approx 40 minutes, as will my mums; make-up about 30 minutes each; and we'll rotate eg I'll have my hair done then my make-up, my mum her make-up then her hair); I'd like to be ready 30-45 minutes before I need to leave, so we have time to relax and have a quick glass of champagne lol.

So yeah, lots of factors to consider; and I'd be looking at adding an extra hour/hour and a half on to your estimated times to allow for delays and provide a 'cushion'.

we started hair and make up at 7am and we didnt start getting in to dresses til 9.30 and the girls had to be ready for 10.10 as the car was arriving to get them to the church for 10.30 to then get back for me and dad to get us there for 10.55

it was all very rushed and i wish we had started half an hour earlier as it was a little rushed towards the end. the hair and make up people had to do me, 2 adult BM's hair and make-up my mum's hair and make up and two little BM's hair and for some reason they left me til last?!

I would recommend getting ready with half an hour before you have to leave so you can get the getting ready pictures you want and any other family pictures

Your hair speed depends on your hairdresser really as how quick she works. I went to a wedding 2 weeks ago and i took the hairdresser as my best friend and we were at the brides house for 7am and did 5 bridesmaids hair and the bride by 10.30am... speedy work and they all had curled pinned up hair and it looked lovely but a trail would have been even better. Because the BM's were umming and ahhing all morning what to have done and took forever to pick so next time she is going to advise they either have a trail or have pictures ready so hairdresser can just get to work xxx

We are getting married at 3pm as it stands but that's because we are decorating our reception venue / doing our own food!

    My schedule atm reads at:

    Night before:
Drop off food at venue for them to put out for us the next day
Drop off decorations to the church

    On the day:
6:00am - Bath / hair washed and dried
    8:00am - Breakfast
9:00am - Take all decorations to the venue with mum / bridesmaids and get decorating!
    12:00pm - Get to hairdresser!
1:00pm - Go gome, have a glass of wine and apply my face.
2:00pm - Get the dress on!
    2:30pm - Cars turn up!

That is provisional depending on what the venue decides.

10.45 back at my house for make up lady

1pm cars arriving and I i get ready with mum helping whilst bm's gt ready.
    1.20 leave for lazaat's
    1.40 arrive lazaat's for piccies

When my sister got married, to get her plus me and the other BM ready with hair, makeup and getting dressed and ready to walk downstairs (we stayed the night before and got ready at the venue) plus having photo's done too before we "left" for the ceremony it took us approx 2.5 hours. We got up at 8am to have brekkie at 8:30am, then back to the room for 9am and have a quick shower and start getting hair and makeup done at 10:30am ish. We took little breaks between hair, makeup and getting dressed before photos for the ceremony to start at 1:30pm.

So up for 7.30, get to my mum's for 8.15 with BMs arriving 8.30. Go to hairdressers over the road / have them come to us. Do each other's makeup and professional for me. Get into dress 9.45. BM leave just before 10 then me to leave with dad 10.20. I hope I have left enough time.

Were getting married at 12:30. Im having all the bm's staying at mine the night before so we can have a girly evening. Im getting up at 5am to have a bath and get my things together. Were then going to my parents house where my hairdresser will be there at 6 or 6:30 and the make up artist is then coming at 7am to start. It wont take long to do my hair or make up It will take me about half an hour to get into my dress.

We have to leave the house for about 11am so im not worried.

Im a morning person im up everyday between 6 and 6:30 so I would rather be up.
