Was just discussing this with h2b I'd quite like photos of me getting ready and throughout the ceremony and breakfast and only an hour into the evening to get the first dance and cake cutting. I know a lot of people will be taking pictures anyway throughout the evening so not sure we need the photographer as not having 'traditional' photos really more of ones that we don't know are being taken so more natural
What are you all having?

My brother in Laws dad is going to do our photos so will be there all day and night but he will only be taking photos officially from Guests arrival 1pmish until first dance 8pmish and he will hopefully put his lenses down and join in the celebrations.
We didlook at another photographer and he would be there from prep/guests arriving about 1pm until first dance in the evening so about 7 hours.
After 7 years and 11 months he proposed to me 18.10.13

I was persuaded by photographer to have getting ready ones - I was worried as they'll be bm's everywhere and my house will be a right state but she assured me that it's easily sorted and she actually only needs a tiny space to take a great photo. Plus I didn't realise the getting ready ones were staged lol (how silly am I)
8.30am-10pm for us, got extra in the package so took advantage x

Weve got 4 hrs. Bride prep up to sitting down for wedding breakfast. At that point we are putting cameras on tables, and also asking for all pics to be emailed to us. X

we went for the biggest package we could with our photographer, from bridal prep to first dance with 2 photographers. so one will be at my house and the other at H2B when we get ready x

We have 2 photographers covering both bride and groom prep through to first dance. We got a really good deal so snapped it up and got all day coverage at fraction of price of some other photographers we enquired with. Xxx

I'm very lucky as my Dad is a wedding photographer!! Although there are obviously some parts of the day and ceremony where he will be in the pictures so he is coming with his photography sidekick to takeover on the parts he cannot shoot! I am so pleased that I don't have to think about this detail as I wouldn't trust anyone other than my Dad now to take those key photos!xxx

We have unlimited coverage, so, they're starting at around 9/9.30am to photograph the preparations/getting ready, and they'll be shooting properly up until around 10pm. They'll then relax a bit, but will keep their cameras on them all night, until they leave at around 12am.

We have 2 (maybe 3) Photographers included in our package. 1 will start at my Mums where me and the BM's are getting ready I'd imagine he will be there from 8/9ish The other will be at the venue with H2b and his Best Man and Ushers.
1 of the photographers is staying as long as we want him there but we also have a Photo booth so I reckon he will be there until 9/10pm and the rest will go around 7 after the wedding breakfast perhaps?

My mums cousin is a photographer and he is taking our pictures as our wedding gift so he'll be snapping away all day.

I wasnt going to worry having a photographer at all as everyone these days has a camera, and my cousins wife is a wedding photographer, however I have decided to have a photographer to take photos during the prep, ceremony and the formal shots afterwards. This way she can enjoy that part of the day especially as her two young sons are my page boys.
I feel that it would just be a waste of money to pay for someone to take photos any longer than that. All my guests will be asked to email me copies of any photos they take and these will be so much more of a personal feeling than what could maybe be captured by an official photographer.

The one I want to book is from getting ready until 10.30pm. My sister in law to be, booked one for her wedding without a time line and only 200 photos, they ended up doing 200 in the ceremony and outside photos and the girl just disappeared so she didn't have a pic of her cake or first dance. That's really made me weary of them now x

I asked for them not to come during the prep but I can always change my mind as we have them booked for the whole day- it is a father and son team who do photos/video/ dj so we have the soon doing photos and dad filming during the service. Whislt the wedding breakfast is being eaten they produce a slide show and put on a big screen so that the evening guests can see our day and then they continue taking pictures/ video the first dance. Also they will print and sell their pictures during the evening do to our guests to take to keep. Then dad will DJ.
