    Just as the discussion topic says,

    How late can you give notice. we have 22 weeks to go and still not done it. We have our date reserved, but have to send for the misters passport and renew mine.

    Yes, Nic's spot on. The notice is up for 15 days, so it would need to be done 16 days before, at the latest.

    I would do it sooner rather than later if you're planning on sending invites etc out, especially if it's a popular date as we couldn't have the time we wanted and had to book for the only time slot that was left and that was 12 months before.

    You do have to do it at least 15 days before the wedding but it is valid for a year from date of giving notice so if you have to change your date it's still valid.

    I agree - its better to do it well in advance
    Have they kept your slot for so long without you giving notice? - ours were really funny about it and got really impatient despite us giving notice in November

    if you dont have a passport you can use driving licence thats what me and my h2b did

    you can use your birth certificate, i dont have a passport or drivers liecence and was fine giving notice...

    we have our dates reserved to and was told in the letter of confirmation the dates we have to give notice between or we will lose our time and date so i would check yours doesn't have a stipulations with it to
