I am new to this so I am unsure if I am even posting this correctly in the right place?
We are planning on having a May 2018 wedding and I am totally new to any of this... I was just wondering how far in advanced would you send out save the dates?

Most people send them out about a year before. I have had a save the date before this though and also some people who are having destination weddings send them around 18 month mark so people attending can book holidays etc

Getting married 15.08.15.
Life hasnt been easy but we have each other :)

Hi! I'm getting married March 2018, we are sending our Save the Dates before the end of August. Our wedding date is the week before Easter and possibly the start of the school holiday.

I would say about a year before. You can always spread by word of mouth to the main people now if you like. Do you have an actual date set?
