As a few of you may know, I love Superman stuff ! (And very very very excited about going to see Man of Steel on Sunday !! hehe)
Now, H2B like Norwich City FC and fishing.. I like fishing too, but not quite as much as him.. Anyhoo, he's doing a fishing themed basket for our cards, which is absolutely amazing and he's doing a fab job of it.. Our wedding cake topper is us holding fishing rods.. One of the tables is going to be called Carrow Road which is the road that Norwich ground is on, and also the first weekend away we had together was at the Holiday Inn attached to the ground.. And he doesn't know, but I have bought a Norwich Garter to surprise him on the day :-)

Now, he has these two things which mainly represent him.. I know I go fishing with him and do enjoy it, but it's not something I'd do if we weren't together.. So I want something that represents me which is Superman lol.. I have Superman everything - Dressing gown, PJ's, socks, pants, Converse, hoodies, jumpers, tshirts, iPad case, cushion, belts, luggage tag, passport holder.....

But H2B said no and everyone agreed with him that it doesn't go with anything :-( I said it goes with me, but that wasn't a good enough reason lol.. The table names are places that mean something to us, so I can't use any Superman references in that... The ring pillow would've been perfect.. Stepson would've carried it down the aisle and everyone would've laughed and known it is so 'me'... So now I need a more discrete way of including it but I have no idea :-(

Awww does it matter that the ring cushion doesn't go with anything? It's not like its going to be in all your pics :( I think its a fab idea.

Ring cushion Garter Cuff links T-shirts under the mens shirts socks Hand drawn super hero drawn onto your shoes ....or stickers for the soles of them A necklace Underwear guest book table names a themed buffet Somesort of picture sewn into your dress so only you and he can see it at the end of the night (or while getting ready in the morning)

I'm not wearing shoes lol.. (this isn't the right expression I don't think but...) It's in honour of my grandma who passed away... She never wore shoes if she could help it lol, and tbh I bloody hate the things !! My feet over heat and blister sooooo easily ahaha..
H2B is doing the cake.. He did mention a Superman decorated tier and a Norwich decorated one, but turns out he was joking :-( Lol..
I love the idea of Superman pants :-) I have plenty of them !! Haha, but I'd get a pretty pair made up for the day if I can ;-)
I also may look into getting the guys Superman socks :-)
I'll try and bug him about the cushion, but I think he's 100% against the idea :-/ I wonder if I could get the logo printed in silver onto a black ribbon to tie to the cushion..... Hmmmm.. And tie round the stem/handle thingy of my bouquet
I want all the guys to wear the wedding cufflinks like 'Groom' 'Best Man' etc cause our photographer sets up an awesome shot of them all with their hands on top of eachothers with the cufflinks showing...

I am doing a thing where I'm pegging photo's of us to silver rope to hang up in various places.. Maybe I could paint/draw the logo on the pegs :-D xxx

From what I can tell your 'theme' is adding in bits that mean a lot to one/both of you and this fits in perfectly! Ask him why its such a big deal to him that you don't have this ring cushion.

I think the ribbon idea could work if I can find someone to print it. So far 2 people have replied and they don't print logo's, only words.....
And the pegs could be good, but very teenie logo's haha.. Maybe I'll make him think of a way to include it :-) xxx

I think it's very mean of him to say absolutely nothing. If it were me I'd rebel against that decision and change the Norwich City garter for a superman one. After all how can it be fair if he gets a touch of Norwich City AND fishing when you get literally nothing?

Thats what I'm thinking tbh.. He doesn't know about the Norwich one so I can easily get a Superman one instead.. He said fishing and Carrow Road is personal to both of us.. I felt like saying, well actually, they're your hobbies, not mine and although I enjoy fishing and going to watch matches, it wouldn't be my first choice of activity !!! But I cba with the argument... I'll just have my secret things that he doesn't know about until the day :-) Might even make my mum a Superman charm to wear on her charm bracelet for the day :-) Have a picture taken of me pointing at it with my finger on my lips sshhhh'ing or something haha :-) xxx
