I would go to the registry office and get their booklet as it will list all the places that you can legally get married in. You can then start checking them out on the internet and putting possibles onto a list. You then ring them to get an idea of costs and deicde which ones you want to go and visit.

If you wanted to do the legal side of the wedding in a registry office or church it would open the options up further for the evening do etc. Just depends on what you want really.

How about llanciach fawr? It's a lovely place and a bit more unusual but also able to hold the whole wedding there. It was somewhere we looked at for our venue but I decided I wanted somewhere with rooms
So our guests could stay the night. We've ended up in Maes manor which is also beautiful but more traditional. Hope this helps!!

As people have already said, it depends where about in South Wales. I'm from Carmarthen way and am getting married in Pantyrathro Mansion House. Stunning views of the beach etc. Margam Park is nice in the Orangary and you can also get married in Castell coch.Craig y Nos Castle has usually got offers on as well, if you get a certain num of guets to book overnight, then u get a good deal. Dan Yr Ogof Caves are stunning, different and also hold weddings in a cave near the water, stunning and defo different!!!!!! Best bet is as earlier said, go and ask in the registry office for liscenced venues.Good luck with your search.xxx
