I am getting married on 30th April 2022. I only have one bridesmaid who is my younger sister by 3 years. She has high functioning autism and anxiety, she struggles in social situations. I would never put her in an uncomfortable position so have excused her from my hen do and we're going to do something just the 2 of us.

That leaves me with my dilemma! The reason why I have one bridesmaid is because I have a group of 7-9 close friends from school and I couldn't afford to have them all, but I couldn't choose a few of them. I see them as my unofficial bridesmaids and the group of them would probably be the bulk of my hen do (maybe a couple of extras on top) as it will be strictly friends and no family members. I would really like them to plan my hen party.

Does anyone have any advice who has been in a similar situation before? Do I ask them all? Do I ask the 3 of them that 'get me' better than the others? And how do I ask them?!

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hey! I'm similar in that I am asking my friends to help plan my hen do but they are not bridesmaids. I will have possibly 5/6 bridesmaids which are my sister, my children and my neices. I can't afford to have friends aswell. But my friends completely understand and they are being awesome about planning a fab hen.

I would ask the person you get on with the best as she will know what will make you happy and let them get others to help if necessary x
