I tried on wedding dresses on for the first time yesterday and there were some really nice dresses but nothing really screamed out at me, apart from the very first dress I tried on, I really liked everything about it and looked really nice on, but the lady in the shop said it would be better to look around and try on more styles just incase it was because it was the first dress I tried on (first dress syndrome i think she called it.. lol), which was fair enough.
So I went and I tried more on but there was always something not right about them, that was the only dress (and i tried a good few dresses on!) that I would not have changed anything on.. but i don't know if it's like the lady said because it's the first dress i tried on..?
How did you know it was the one, was it instant? xx

I got first dress syndrome but I was sooo excited. After taking someone else to see it with me a 2nd time, they said it was a little plain.
I then looked round and tried on a few others that were more within my price range and I found my dress, I took my mum yesterday to see it on me along with another one that i liked and she looooved it!
If you have tried on other dresses and you still love the first one, then I would take someone with you to see it and see what they think.. xxxx

When i went to try dresses on I had seen this particular one, it was covered in diamontes, was huge and WAAAAAY out of my price league but it was beautiful-anyway i didnt try it on as i didnt think it would look good on me. I then found what i thought was "the one" it made look ace but didnt scream "look at me!" (it was also the first dress i tried on) but i decided to back the next day and put a deposit down. When i went back i instantly went back to the "princess" dress-i didnt even look at mine, i think the assistant picked up on this and asked if i wanted to try it on? I dont know why but i did and OMG im sooooooo pleased i did, it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I couldnt stop smiling when i had it on! I had to have it, so i bought it there and then! lol It was £400 over budget but it was well worth the extra money (pics on profile) I never stop thinking about it now and i always go to the shop to try it on! lol I think you just know when its "the one" as it makes you light up and feel amazing inside-and to me i think it was instant, as soon as i saw that dress i knew i wanted it x

Have just looked at your dress Nicci, it's beautiful.. We've decided to go again in a couple of weeks and have a look in other shops just to see a few more.. The first one was in the sale so it may not be there if I decide to go back to it.. I guess it would just be a sign for it not meant to be if its not. Maybe i was just expecting to find 'the one' yesterday.
I did start to feel I was being awkward in the shops but these assistants have the patience of a saint! x

The one I really wanted made me emotional when I tried it on, I didn't have it however because I felt I was too old to wear it but if I had of been younger I would have definately had it. I have felt the same with things like my wedding ring, I get a rush of emotion when I know it's right ;o) xx

I tried about 15 dresses on, in 4 different shops !! I went back and got the 4th dress i tried on, you just know lol, you put it on and don't want to take it off :-), and it even had some bling on it, which i never do lol x

I tired on a few dresses and they wee all ok but nothing was jumping out at me. Then the lady who was helping me suggested another dress (one I really didn't like the look of). She said it would be great for my shape, I thought I~'d try it to entertain her and low and behold it was the one. I love the lady in that bridal shop. I trusted her experience and it paid off completely xx

OMG Nic, how on earth can you walk in that? I'm having enough trouble in mine and its 1/4 the size! Lol. It is gorgeous though! And you look stunning in it!
Anyway, back to topic. I tried on a few dresses, but I found one on ebay I liked the look of so I just bought it not thinking it would be that great as it was only £58. I got it the other day and its better then I could have ever imagined! And a freaking bargain!!! There are a few pics on my profile, and Im currently adding more to it :)

I tried on 5 dresses but bought the 2nd. My sis and mum said i lit up when i walked out of the dressing room, and i felt like a princess so that was it. It was half price but still a bit out of my price range so i called up h2b (it was going on his credit card) told him id love him for ever a if he let me buy it, and he said yes.

I didn't get emotional over my dress but then I'm not an emotional kind of person. I still did know it was the one though. None of the others were as good and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I went back a few times before I put the deposit down just to make sure it was what I wanted but every time I went back I just loved it. I think the dress picked me though as it was nothing like what I had in my mind but the lady in the shop suggested I try it to see if the style suited me. I'm so glad she did as I wouldn't have found it other wise.

I tried on 5 or6 dresses in the shop but my eye had caught a dress when we arrived but it was only a small sample size so i couldn,try it on but i went away and couldn't get it out of my mind so we went back the next day and my lovely lady ann had found a size i could try on and the rest is history.xx
