Around the BMs tbh as I had no idea. Deep purple turned out to be the colour that suited them the most. Then I saw a pic in a mag with yellow flowers and purple dresses...

    And bobs your uncle!

i always knew that i wnat the whole white wedding, from the flowers to the dress, when i was trying to find a colour for the accent i just like the way the hint of burgundy worked with the white. i would say find a colour that u really like and then find a colour that works with it xx

I wanted purple when I got engaged, cos it's my fave colour. But the venue I'm getting married at will have Christmas decorations up in traditional christmassy colours, so I'm going to fit in with that - reds, golds, silvers etc.

I don't do pastel colours, don't like purple or green - and definitely won't have red (being a Leeds Utd fan - it's the 'scum' colour haha).

I decided on royal blue after debating between black (but I always wear that lol), blue and yellow (Leeds colours) - but royal blue looks good in a 'regal' kind of way (and now looking at dresses that are white with blue trim).

Halloween/autumn is my fav time of the year so it was an easy choice when it came to choosing the date. As for colours and the theme, I love the film the labyrinth so thought it would be a nice idea to recreate the ball scene from the movie.... hence the silver dress, masquerade reception and dramatic decorations!

My H2B announced he would be wearing a pink rouche ( he seems to be able to get away with wearing pink tshirts) as he had worn pale pink as a best man. So,Im baby pink, and he and BM and MOH will have some hot pink.Roses are in the bouquet I want, but I also love orchids, and have found orchid candle favours and bits for stationary,so dont know about that part. Also wanted fish in there somehow,as we met on Plenty of Fish online, maybee a cake topper?

We've had loads.........ours was originally coral because h2b bought me some flowers that colour & we both thought it would make a lovely colour scheme, then the planning started (2yrs ago) & I couldn't find anything to match, so we changed it to lemon n lime (I suggested lemon, h2b added the lime), we couldn't find bm dresses in either colour so now it's apple & lemon lol I love it though, it's quite unusual but very spring/summery & fresh feeling!

im having black & white with hint of silver.

i tried to find a colour that when you look back at the pics 5 yrs down the line wouldnt look really dated.

*mym72* i was going to have red but i deem that as a wintery colour plus my h2b is liverpool fan and my brother (BM) is a 'scum' fan so i scrapped that idea as i dont want anything football-y on the day!

my bro has already moaned at time of service in case it clashes with a match!

H2B picked our colour scheme.....he chose Pink. I have my butterflies incorporated though and thats the most important bit to me....my grandad always used to make butterflies out of old pop bottles and paper mache.....they looked really good and professional. I absolutely adore butterflies and feel that its a way of incorporting my grandad into the wedding. I miss him soooo much :'(.

I chose mine as my MOH loves purple, so decided to have that as a colour, and then thought about what to go with the men as did not want them in purple, so we had a look to see what would look good and came up with green, so that is what we went for. Purple and green.
