Ours in palindromic of the date we got together.
We got together on 11/07/09 and we're getting married 09/07/11. :-)

The first date we set our kids picked, one the date the other the month and we picked the year
Plan b was because it was cheaper lol (disney florida)
and plan c is because its out of season and on a sunday, so cheaper heheheh

The only date they had available in the summer hols!

No sentimental reasons more practical. We want a christmas wedding, but not too close to christmas that people that live far away find it financially tight to travel down to us. Also we want to take our kids to disney florida for our familymoon during the christmas festivities. xxx

We didn't want hight of summer and we didn't want a saturday so we chose a sunday that is may day bank holiday on the monday!! And now fortunatley for usxwe now get the fri before off cos of the royal wedding!!

We wanted ours to be a summer wedding and thought 6 months after we got together (Dec 16th) would be nice. So we checked but June 16th was unavailable, the 15th being a Friday meant we didn't get exclusivity at our venue so we took the last saturday in June next year and that is how we ended up with June 23rd 2012

mine was based on teachers needing it to be summer holidays to allow enough time for a 2 week holiday if they want it and the summer holiday sate is pretty generic and it couldnt be too near sept for me as will be having a busy time with a new reg month at work and i wanted good weather :D the actual date didnt really matter to me all that much xx

ours was a yr to the date that h2b propsoed and we visited loadsa venues and the only one we loved had our date... so we took it as a sign!!

We picked our date as I'm a teacher and he's a lecturer. We were originally going to have mid-August, but then thought that the last few August's we have had have been more miserable weather wise that July. So having it 27th July, thats a week after school breaks up, so we have time to organise stuff, and still in July.
Knowing our luck we'll probably have some freak weather on the day though! Tornado anyone!! (we have had some bad luck so think we are jinxed!)

We decided on ours (17/10/2012) for a few different reasons. Our venue is a lot cheaper during the week and since we are on a tight budget we wanted a mid week autumn wedding, secondly my bridesmaid and several members of my h2b's family are teachers and the week we have chosen is the only week the holidays overlap between all the different councils they work for and thirdly, my grandma passed away in July last year and her birthday was the 17th Oct so for all these reasons our chosen date just seemed perfect for us xx

I had to book mine in the summer holidays as both my parents are teachers with different school holidays. I had 2 potential dates of which one of them was already booked up so it made the decision for us!" x

my friend got married on 08/08/08 as 8 is her lucky number!! we've chosen either 25 (sat) or 26 (sun) august 2012 as that is the bank holiday of august so most people should have that weekend off regardless, and they'll also have the monday off too, so gonna see what the price difference is between having the sat or the sun!x

not set one yet hun but i'm hoping it will b b4 30/05/2013 and i've always told h2b if were not married b4 then i'm not marrying him!! as 31st will make it 11 years lol so he knows the clock is ticking !! x

ours is 15 may 2012, no idea why, the date popped into my head and stuck! maybe theres something in my subconscious thats telling me its a special date for some reason, but i dont know why! lol

we chose ours coz its the date we met so we will be together 3yrs the day we get married xx

I'm a romantic so I remember anniversaries & important dates. Seems like quite a few of us are romantics. :D

I don't want a summer wedding and love autumn, then we looked at school holidays and picked a midweek date when everyone should be able to make it. Nothing booked yet so not changed my date on here......

I wanted July for the weather & summer holidays so my daughter doesn't miss any school. Thankfully both our anniversaries are around school holidays. Also H2B works shifts so we have to choose a day he's between shifts. xXx

we were having a real random conversation and out the blue we both said lets get married on a Monday and it took off from there really and chose August because that is the most quiet month for us

we picked and chose to get married a year sooner because june 25th was on a saturday. we'll have been together exactly 4 years that day

We went for Sept as our family are having a big party in July and needed time for my aunt to sort her house (where our reception will be) out after. We went for 10th as it's a full moon!

We are getting married 2 days after our 4 years together. Figured it wouldnt be too hard for h2b to remember :) haha

I've just been reprimanded by my dad for picking a date slap bang in the middle of Euro 2012 (june 21st) lol. Wasn't even me that picked it lol, we were supposed to get married on the winter solstice this year but H2B picked next years summer solstice when we decided to postpone for a few more months to give us extra saving time

he wouldnt lol but he did ask if there was a TV there
