My trainer at the gym told me I should start drinking a cup of hot water and lemon/grapefruit with my breakfast every morning as it'll doubly boost my metabolism - has anyone ever tried this? Did it work?

It does work! Lots of diet plans suggest it and my mum used to do this when she was trying to shift... 6 stone! and she is now a skinny minnie size 12 so I'm assuming that had something to do with it too! lol xxx

Yes it helps, it's a calorie free way to kick start your metabolism every morning, so as soon as you have your breakfast your system is ready to go!

I drink hot water and lemon, its helped me lose nearly a stone and have been drinkin it for 3 weeks :)
I had no idea it could be so effective! I'm going to make sure I do it everyday now!

I have done it for years and if I miss it then I can feel the difference. It helps to detox the kidneys apparantly and also helps to keep you "regular" x

I'm using lemon juice so I hop it works! My trainer said either lemon or grapefruit.

I am going to start that! And i am going to start substituting a cup of tea for a cup of greentea and mango.. My migraines have been bad recently so the less caffeine the better!

Hi Nailed I am a big fan of green tea but it naturally has a lot of Caffeine in, try redbush (otherwise known as rooibus as it has loads of health beneifts similar to green tea but is naturally caffeine free xx

I always drink hot water in the morning, couldn't get used to the lemon though. Steer clear of grapefruits if anyone has a touch of arthritus as it exacerbates the condition. Hot water and lemon is good for weight loss and for your complexion! Exercising first thing in the morning is best for you too as your body isn't burning off what you eat but using up fat reserves, thus losing fat! x

mite try the hotwater and lemon for my skin not a morning excercise person thou.im a lady of the night....mean im more awake and have energy.lol i do bike to work or walk as dont drive at the minute.winter can be pretty tough.just wrap up and go for it.you can use the time for thoughts.x
