I think its because of the lights and heat they have in the shops. I nearly passed out in one of the shops because it was so hot in there.

Oh another thing is if you have a hoop under your dress it will keep the netting etc away from you and keep you cooler.

I know I will get hot in my dress with it being a summer wedding and so much material and having wedding boots rather than shoes, lol, but going to have a fan especially for me at my place on the top table so will be using that vigorously no doubt along with a very good deodorant, lol.

You need to give a lot of different brands a try and just see which is the best working for you. I am normally very sweaty and have tried all sorts! When i find a new one that seems to work it only ever lasts a few months b4 i need to shop around again! So you need to try some out this summer!!

Agree with MrsMac2b. Mitchum all the way. It's great and they do a non-scented version as well as a lovely baby powder smelling one! I'm a cyclist and swear by this one - yet to find a better alternative x

I agree on the Mitchum - I think the powder fesh one is the nicest and it really does work. helps stop swety patches and all odours! Mind you I'm sure I'll be so nervous on the day that nothing will stand up to the sweat and I shall definitely be re-applying!

I've used Perspirex Anti-Perspirant which is fab. I was bridesmaid in June and September last year and knew if I got sweaty it would show up on the dress so was paranoid. I used perspirex and didn't have a problem all day or night and am suggesting it to one of my bridesmaids. x

Mitchum is brilliant but if you want something stronger there is perspirex which is very good and a few other ones like arrid cream you can get in a chemist if you ask them (work in a chemist and there are more but cant think of the top of my head!)lol :-)

There's so many different options - the best antiperspirant I've used is BoneDri, you can buy it online. There's also SweatBlock which is just as effective but applied once a week - you can use them both together to make doubly sure you you'll be sweat free on your big day. I have hyperhidrosis (all over) and I've tried just about everything! I'm also a product adviser on my hyperhidrosis website. You can buy absorbent clothing, underarm sweat shields and even electronic devices. I also buy Secret antiperspirant online (for days where I don't need maximum strength) as it's the only off-the-shelf antiperspirant that I can use without it irritating my skin. I cried when they stopped selling it in the UK! I hope this helps.

I sweat really badly and the only thing that has ever stopped it is the Sure Maximum Protection stick. Costs more than your normal deodorant but is brilliant! I tried the mitchum but it didn't work for me sadly x
