Has anyone been away or booked their hols for October? We are getting married on 8th Oct and would like to go on honeymoon within a couple of days but I know they say lots of places you shouldn't go to in October. I googles it and the best place to go in Oct is apparently Bali. Anyone got any other suggestions? I don 't really want to wait for honeymoon. Thanks x

Maldives is supposed to be good in october! I hope it is anyway cos we get married on 21st september 2011 and so will be on honeymoon during the first week of october and this is where we're thinking of going!

I'm not sure the only thing I know is I'm going to Kenya and it says in my brochure it's a year round resort. And it's on the indian ocean so I'm sure the Maldives will be fine for then too x

i think its rainy season but only like a shower a day or something so wont impact on the hols much. Just give us chance to go spend some time in our room hehe

I'm off to Bali on the 4th on my honeymoon! Its AMAZING! I cant tell you how brill Bali is, there are so many beautiful places to stay and the people are so so friendly. Just avoid Kuta if you dont want a '18-30' holiday, its like Magaluf for Austrailians, fun for a night or 2. If you want any information at all just message me, :)

OOh we also getting married on the 8th October next year, Unfortunately a beach holiday is totally out for us so we are going to Vegas for our honeymoon so the weather should be lovely at that time not too hot as H2b really doesnt like the sun (due to a really bad sunburning in Africa that resulted in him ending up in hospital for a few days, that was even wearing factor 40), he prefers city breaks so this way we both get something out of it, they have fantastic pool areas in the vegas hotels for me (will just get him under a parasol lol)....... but then there there are all the big hotels and casinos etc.. for us to explore if the sun gets too much for him. Hopefully all bases will be covered!! x

Just remember hurricane season for the Caribbean is between May and November in some parts!!! We are off to Mexico for our honeymoon on the 4th November and it will still be hurricane season although it will be nearing the end so fingers crossed! I really wanted to go to Bali but Dodge wanted Mexico as he has always wanted to go and seen as how ive travelled the world a fair bit more than him I thought it only fair to let him choose, but I will get to go there once before I die... I hope lol, have fun choosing though hun x x x

Yeah I'm concerned about hurricanes so would want to avoid that but not too bothered about monsoon as I'm told tge rain stops azs quick as it starts and is only usually once a day xx

Thanks Rachy. We've been to Greek isles and the canary islands at that time of year always nice too but fancy something a bit exotic for the honeymoon. We're lucky that h2bs parents have a timeshare and you can trade in points to go practically anywhere and they are letting us use that else we wouldn't be able to afford it! X
