Future mrs Drake do you have a Hobbycraft near you, thats a great place to start, if not the bay of E has everything you need.

I'm going to be making mine too. I looked on the internet for ones that I liked and then took elements from 3 different ones to come up with the design I now have, I just hope they turn out as well as I picture them in my head! xxx
Got together 14.02.2008
Got engaged 31.12.2010
Will become a Mrs on 30.08.2014 xxxxxx

Aww they are beautiful Xbox widow may just have to look into doing my own, they really add a personal touch. Thanks :) x

The card with the square cutout was from hobbycraft so were the jewels, the ribbon, butterflys and inserts from the bay of e, its easier than you think.

We have a friend making all our stationary, unfotunately it's taken him soooooo much longer than he originally said. I wanted to send all my invites out at the end of Jan, it's now the end of feb and I only got my evening invites this weekend (day invites went out 2 weeks ago).
I sat writing them last night, but when I got half way through I noticed all the wording in the invites was wrong!!! Half evening invites had the day wording in them and the other half had the right wording but with a spelling mistake! Sooooo angry, but can't say much as it's H2B's friend making them and they are gorgeous but I just want to get them bloody sent out, is that too much to ask!??? All he had to do was copy and paste the wording we'd sent him (checked we hadn't made the mistake and sent him the wrong info, we hadn't).
Sorry for the rant, just so annoyed. Hopefully he can print off new inserts today and I can sit and glue them all in and re-write them all tonight so they can go in the post tomorrow morning. More annoyed 'cos I've offered 100's of times to put them all together (he's a graphic designer hence why he offered to do them for us) and he's always said no, like he doesn't trust me to do his work justice. Wish I'd put my foot downa nd siad you design them, I'll make them!

Zoe81- gosh that must so frustrating, sometimes it's good to rant! Future Mrs Drake, if you have a "the range" near you it may be worth investigating there too, they are a lot cheaper than the craft of hobby, I got my gems from there after buying all my other things and it was so cheap, I wish I'd discovered it sooner!

CommentAuthorGazza 122
Of course i dont mind - glad you like them xxx
CommentAuthorsam
how did you do the salt doves kev's angel they look lovely and would love a go at it xx
CommentAuthorGazza 122
To make the dough you need a mug of normal cooking salt, a mug of plain flour and a mug of warm water...mix the salt and flour together, then little bit by little bit add the water while mixing to play doh consistency. You may need a tiny bit more flour to reach the right texture. Once you have done this, take a small ping pong ball amount in the palm of your hand and roll it to a ball. then on the work surface roll into a sausage shape. From there, its quite tricky to explain...i pinched out the tails first pushing down on the end of the sausage....and got them where i wanted them, then i squeezed the head up gently and turned it in my hands to create the little head shape, then once i was happy with this i fattened out the body by various pushing and squeezing where needed. Place on a baking sheet on some grease proof paper and bung in the oven for about 10 hours. The oven needs to to only be on about 80 of a gas mark 1. xx I will be making another load over the weekend, so what i will do is take pics of what im doing and pop on here, i always work better off piccies xxx
