Both are for half a day (before the ceremony - getting ready etc up until cutting cake).
Both of these quotes are for the photos on a disc - no albums (how expensive are they!!). I didn't go with the album option as my first wedding pics are in an album in the roof... and I think I can make up a good album, especially as I have a friend who can probably help in this area...
anyhoo.. one is £565 and the other is £650. The examples of both are very good, and both are more on the relaxed rather than formal side. There are a few pics that I do want done of various people together but apart from that, as long as they are good pictures, I don't mind who's with whom.
Am waiting for one more lady to call up and then to decide but am not sure which to go with, out of of the two photographers themselves I like the 2nd one best (both are in their late 50s both been working as photographers since their 20s in various roles, the former for a local photography studio, which has now been sold on, so he's been doing his own thing for 10 years, the latter with travel, fashion then wedding/portfolio work). I is having a dilemma...

go with the photographer you think you ad your H2B both feel comfortable with and you really like there work and if you gut instinct is to go with the 2nd photographer go for it. But make sure your H2B is comfortable with the photographer too we want our photographer we had for our engagement shoot to be our wedding photographer as we was comfortable with him even H2B we both do not like out pictures taken so it was a relief he was laid back and very into photography could see his passion for photography now coz of the quote thing wondering do we meet up with others and interview them I doubt it we happy with our original photographer he does not mind the traveling and he already booked up for 2013 and his 1st few jobs are in Cornwall any way so all good go with your gut instinct or you heart what are they saying LynD =D ♥ X

Thats MrsD2B..
H2B is, ususally, only in the country for 2/3 days every two weeks so trying to tie him down is almost an impossibiilty... I will show him both of their websites when he's home (oddly enough tonight as his lorry is in for MOT at the beginning of the week)...
2nd one has photographed weddings for a bride connected to the Mafia.. who knew they existed in the UK.. interesting story he was telling though hehe

I see LynD its hard to trying to tie down your H2B is hard So you mostly in control on sorting the wedding out as your H2B is hardly at home due to his job yep deffo show him the websites when he gets home and see which one he likes best or persuade him to go for the one you want wink wink lool
A bride connected to the Mafia ya know they in the UK never knew that
Let us know who you choose =D ♥ X

Lynn, they are expensive because they are trained professionals. They won't just turn up and pop your photos on a disc and that be it. They have to spend a lot of time processing your photographs to a high standard.
They also have business overheads and their gear in which they will shot your wedding will probably worth more than 50% of the cars on display in any car park. Minus the range rovers of course!
Defo go with the one you feel happy with having there. I agree with the album though, may as well have the disc as you can then even get photo books done after from that.

it's not the price bit that's worrying me to be honest, both are in the same area there.. it's knowing which one to choose.
Am waiting on one woman to phone me back, but to be honest, if she hasn't done so by tomorrow then she's obviously not interested (got her on the UK Bride Quote - missed her call the first time round) and have just emailed another about a price, as the first is fir a DVD only and up to four hours and the second is for a 100 photograph album with no dvd and up to five hours (would like a DVD only and five hours to be honest...
it's all very hard.

I take it all back, the lady photographer emailed me - she was waiting for a call (lawd knows who I left that voicemail message with - obviously wasn't her). We've decided to go with this lady - again via a quote from UK Bride. Her work looks lovely, and she's not the cheapest but not the most expensive either..
another thing ticked off the list :)
