I've been on a diet (been doing Weight Watchers) since February and I've lost two stone...everyone says I look great but I still have about 2 stone left to go. I've been quite happy following weight watchers and I regularly excersise, thing is, now I can't seem to lose any weight. I haven't lost any weight for about a month and only an inch off my waist in the same time frame. I'm starting to feel really disheartened with it all and find that I just want to stuff my face constantly. I'm still keeping my food diaries etc but even writing how much I'm over eating isn't detering me any. I haven't put any weight on but I'm really struggling now as I'm starting to feel like there isn't any point.

Well done on losing 2 stone! I think a lot of people hit a hard period during their weightloss journey. Don't give up, you have done so well so far. I dont really have any advice, just a hug x

A lot of people say they bottom out!
Losing cm's and inches is still losing it, your body is probably making a bit of muscle here and there and muscle is heavier than fat so you're still doing ok!
Just concentrating on fitting into an outfit or pair of trousers is helping me more (and as mine is THE wedding dress I've bought probably helps!) And if people are commenting on your weight/appearance you are doing well, you just need to jump back on and get a bit more confidance in yourself, and 2 stone in 6 months (ish) is fantastic, well done you! xx

    Thanks girls.

I wish it was as easy to lose weight as it is to put it on!

I think you are right though, I need to change my focus. Pounds aren't everything, it's the inches that mean smaller clothes. I'm trying to concentrate more on my fitness just now so I'm hoping that geting in shape will help me get in shape if you know what I mean! It is hard sometimes though! I saw a size 14 dress I loved in a sale today - I might buy it and focus on fitting into it instead of how much I weigh!

I'm using cm's as it looks more, lol, I may use mm if it starts to slow, and all because I refuse to use scales!!!

The scales are indeed a fickle friend! I'd lost inches and managed to put on pounds one week.... :S

Try and change what your routine- do a different class at the gym, lots of weights if possible too.
Weight watchers, Rosemary Conley (which I did) work for a while as they're low fat but they still allow a high amount of sugar which is often in lots of low fat 'diet' foods. I found sticking to natural healthy foods and good fats such as salmon and raw nuts and seeds really helped kick start my weight loss again xx

I never weigh myself - okay I lie, I did weigh myself the other day, only to discover that I still weigh the same as I did when I first started going to the gym :-( BUT I have lost inches, and toned up and look (and feel) much better. At the end of the day that's actually what we're all after. Weight loss doesn't get you in smaller clothes, inch loss does :-)

This happened to my BM. She was on WW for 2 years. The first year was great and she lost a lot of weight (50lbs) but after that, nothing for a year. So she changed to SW at the beginning of this year and almost immediately she started to lose weight again. I think her body just got used to that particular way of getting it's energy. I've heard of this happening with other people too.
Maybe a change will work for you? Hx

Yeah, that's what I think (and hope!) for myself!

Now that I have lost that bit of weight, I'm trying to up my exercise a bit more and work on losing inches and toning up. I quite like my diet so I don't want to mess about with it too much. Just need to stick with it I guess!
