I would personally probably only use the chocolate fountains. Slushy machines and candyfloss machines would be great for kids if you will be having quite a lot of children at your wedding, but otherwise I don't think they'd get used as extensively as the chocolate fountains x

I would love them, but I would personally choose one or the other. I think if you had all of them it would be overkill. I would pick the chocolate fountain though, however, don't forget about the mess if you have a spillage or children's chocolatey hands on your dress!

yes true I'm in two minds still. I'm allergic to normal chocolate but i can have white so thats why i want both fountains, i don't have any kids coming to the wedding but they can make the slushies alcoholic ones and so many of people we know going love alcoholic slushies but then i don't want people get smashed off there faces! the company have quoted us £895 for the lot and that includes the staff from the company staffing all of them. im in two mind! aaahhh

that was one of my concerns being an overkill with too many things the only reason i liked the idea of it was because iv been to quite a few weddings and i find guests start getting bored after the meals and things start flagging off...so i thought having these might be a bit of a pick me up after a long day and the slushy machine will wake people up a bit lol and i don't want guests leaving early as we've hired a pyrotech company to put on a firework show at 10:30pm so i don't want people leaving and missing that. i went to a wedding saturday just gone and guests starting leaving gone 9pm!! i was like wow thats really early but 9:45pm the place was pretty much empty! from 100 guests down to about 15 it was so bad i felt quite sorry for the bride and groom tbh xx

In my opinion you will already be paying enough on food and refreshments as it is. How about spending that money instead on a band/musician/magician/photo booth or something? I just think that's a lot of money for what it is - I would probably just choose one. Are you having a sit down meal/buffet? You don't want people to get sick of the sight of food either!!
Oh no, that's really bad! Luckily most of our guests will be staying the night so they can't leave mwahaha (unless they went to bed lol). Have you thought about making an 'order of the day' poster? Then people will be able to see you have fireworks scheduled and will hopefully make sure they hang around!! x

Sorry I meant between the three when I said one or the other, I would still probably get white and milk chocolate. I like that you can turn the slushies into alcoholic ones. What month areyou getting married in? I don't know if that could help. I'm getting married in April so would be too cold for a slush for me. X

Personally I don't think it would be worth it. We didn't have anything like this and at 12pm nearly all our guests were still dancing away, if they want to stay they will stay. I also think that you anticipate that a lot more people will use them than actually will, you are already providing them with food for the day, these extras really won't be missed. But at the end of the day it is your wedding so ultimately you should do whatever you want to xxx

I agree that having all of them might be overload but think about what you want for the day and if you want all of them then go for it :)

I too am worried about not having many left for the evening as I'm only having about 40 guests anyway and not any extra eve guests so once the older relatives leave don't really want it to look like only 20 people for a disco! But I also only want people there who want to be there not because they want the freebies! X

thank you for all your comments! i think i won't go for all of them as i think most of you are right it might be too much and will be a waste if it doesn't get used! we will defo stick with the slush idea as my OH has his heart set on it ha and maybe the two fountains...they were giving us a good deal if we have them both! xx

We were going to have an ice cream cart, but changed our minds as we had a wedding late in the day, and people wouldn't have had time to have one, with all the other food

We didn't have a candy cart as we think everyone has them and that they're overdone now,I'm also not keen on chocolate fountains as I think they were done like 10 years ago lol, I think the candy floss is a cool idea, and fresh.and I'd be all over a slush machine since I'm not drinking( baby) ... We had a cookie bar at ours for the evening, set out on slices of tree trunks...was a great dessert addition to the evening and no one had ever seen one before which was a big plus for us x

I know what you mean about the chocolate fountains KelBel but I still think they are something that people are still likely to indulge in, and the kids especially would love them.
We're not thinking about having any of this sort of stuff as after canapes (possibly), a 3 course meal, cake and the buffet I don't think there would be any room whatsoever for anything else lol. Loved the idea of having an ice cream cart but there's just no point when there's so much food anyway.
The cookie bar does sound fab though.. and it's nothing too big and like you say, complements the actual buffet itself nicely rather than being 'something extra' on top of everything else x
