    Hiya

Right, so I've found a few dresses online that I like the look of - nothing traditional at all, just some nice white dresses. But I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I'm not getting married till 2013 and even though I'm not that fashion crazy, I want to wear something that's 'in' - so do I take the risk and buy now?!

Also, I was thinking if I buy now, there's less chance that one of my guests (I have the same taste as many of my girlfriends lol) will wear something similar...

The dresses I'm looking at are only £30-£50 so if I do buy now and change my mind, I haven't wasted a ton of money. Argh, I'm so confused on what to do! Help? Suggestions?

    Thanks!! :-)

To be fair if you are wearing a white dress no one else at the wedding should be dressed in white. I think if you get a dress that is timeless then it doesn't matter what the fashions are doing. After all half of what they say are in fashion I wouldn't wear anyway.

Do you maintain your weight or not? If you do then it doesn't matter what time you get your dress but if you yo you then nearer the time would be better.

Thanks girls :-) When pay day rolls around I might take the plunge...!

I just mentioned it to my friend, just as a remark in reference to Big Fat Gipsy Wedding and now she's demanding pictures and everything... Eeek lol. She's more excited than I am about it lol. But then again, she doesn't have to go through the tedious budgeting, venue hunting (argh!), catering prices etc etc!

Yeah May/June wedding - hopefully with nice weather, although who knows!

MrsMac2B - that's strange... is not working at all?! Or are you getting the one shouldered dress - cos that's it!

Getting married in 2013 - so a tad early to buy i know, but as it's not that much I figured why not?! Getting married at a registry office. And not having anything formal for the reception, so I wanted something that was nice but casual. Big dresses aren't my thing, so it would be way out of my comfort zone to wear one!

no I wouldn't say its too early, lots of women buy their dresses before anything else x

:-) hehe that's very true! Ah, fingers crossed the reception venue gets sorted this weekend too - two places to see on Saturday so hope one of them is the 'one'! Then I can chill for the next year and then go all crazy wedding planning again lol.
