My names lori and im new to this! My partner and I have been engaged since 2010 but we have now finally set the date for 5th November 2016. We have booked our venue and I have bought my dress, that's it so far! I'm thinking it's still a bit early to start booking everything, and if I'm honest I don't really know where to start! I have a family friend who has kindly agreed to make our wedding cake too!

Hello and welcome Lorraine! I don't think its too early to start booking things at all, we get married on 7th November this year and we booked our venue, photographer, singer and venue dresser in January last year. Don't forget that places and people get booked up way in advance so if you have particular people in mind, it might be better to get them booked sooner rather than risk them not being available on your date xx

It's never to early to start planning and booking and it also gives you time to save. I had my venue and photographer booked around 18 months before wedding date. We've operated under the thought of getting 1 or 2 things done a month so we took our time and enjoyed ourselves. Thankfully the only stress I have had was surrounding my wedding dress but thats all sorted.

Thank you, I seem to be having trouble with the wedding suppliers part of the site. It is saying there are no suppliers within 25 miles of my home postcode and my wedding venue postcode is invalid? All the suppliers keep saying London? If London suppliers are willing to travel to Edinburgh I've no qualms with this but I won't be paying their travel costs lol xx :-)
