I'm new to the web site and thought I'd just drop a note to say hello and congratulations to all the brides to be and well done to all the new brides to making it through your special day.
My wedding is booked for 16th July 2011, Me and my fiance have been together for 9 years now so i think it's about time we set a date lol. We are getting married before we start our adoption process to become a complete family.
Any good ideas in choosing the right wedding dress would be appreciated. I have seen a couple of dresses and now torn to which one the choose!! Cor i never thought it would be so hard to choose a dress lol.

Welcome and congrats on your engagement i have chosen my dress by looking on the internet at different sites and as i still have 3 years to go till my wedding i might change my mind but dont think i will do some research online find a few you like then take your ideas to the shops and have fun trying on dresses!! x

first of all congrats and welcome to ukbride!! xx oh the dress, just think of all the fun you are about to have, going to all those shops and trying on all the dresses! truely is hard work, but when you find the right one you will know in the meantime!! there was a link on here that helps you work out your body shape for the correct shape, but l'm not sure where it is!!! perhaps if you go to search and type in body shape the discussion might come up!! so excited all this planning, look forward to seeing your pic's and hearing about your progress good luck with everythings xxxx

Thank you all for such a good welcome i feel apart of you all already lol Well i found my dress yesterday i feel stunning in it, makes me so excited thinking about it hehe. All i need to work out now is my bridesmaids. i think mum is going to have a go at making them. Anyone else made their own bridesmaid dresses? if so where is the best place for patterns?

you could google bridesmaid dress patterns. altenatively there are loads of custom made dresses on ebay, some will send free material samples. and very reasonable prices too. i'm having 5 so i need to keep the costs as low as possible.
