My name is brittany, live on isle of skye (scotland) originally from saffron walden (essex). have lived in scotland for 4 years and have been with hubby2be for 3 years on 20th sept. we got engaged in may 2010 and are gettin married 20th sept 2013.. yep we are getting married at Bunchrew. Feel in love with the place as soon as I walked up the drive!
when i first started planning I thought the choice and number of suppliers for things was pretty bad. And local companies are few and far between (must be worse out west!) . BUT - I started looking further afield and a load of companies in Scotland are prepared to travel, for not much extra cost. So just a wee tip for ya!

yeah lol... i have found a few caterer that are off skye and they dont cost much to travel.. and photographer and transport are all on skye.. so all good.. having lots of fun planning though.. xx

Aw I miss home now, been to Skye once, so beautiful and lived in and near Inverness for most of my life. Now in Lincolnshire to be with my h2b, been together for 3 years and getting married on the 30th July this year. Welcome to the site and you will have loads of friends in a matter of hours, lol. xx

hello Brittany, I'm Leanne, 26 (soon to be 21 again lol) and live in Norwich, Norfolk. We got engaged in June 2000 and have finbally started to plan the wedding!! woohoo we have set a date of 31st may 2013 I dont know if anyione has said because i have been lazy and gone to the bottom (sorry lol) but there is a 2013 thread for those of us getting married then! lol my H2B asked his friend to be best man but freaked out at the thought of doing a speech lol big whuss! think he is going to ask his dad now which i think is lovely. I have selected my bridesmaids who are my baby sisers and my maid of honor is rachel who uses this site too lol. other than that we have picked the venue, just got to put down the deposit but no rush as they arent exactly over booked for 2013 yet lol. I have been huting for pics of dresses, decided on a colour scheme and theme and have been hunting for bargains! I made my first wedding purchase the other day. its a bouquet charm, the pic is on my albums lol erhh dont think we have gotten much further, just a lot of reserach and budget planning at the moment! lol ricky, my H2B is kind of a Yorkshire man. He moved down here when he was little, but he definaly has Yorkshire roots even if he has lost the accent lol when i first met his parents i could hardly understand a word they said pmsl
