What is everyone doing for their hen night?... we were supposed to be going paintballing hens v stags, but my bridesmaid said it wasnt appropriate, so now were going bowling n then for cocktails, dressed in tutus n legwarmers. we have dare cards and willy whistles n all other stuff like that.
Is anyone else doing something more interesting like paintballing or something fun?

Why did your bridesmaid say it was inappropriate?? Isn't it about what you want not what tradition says you should do?? Paintballing against the stags sounds like it would be a blast!! Not that your hen night won't be fun the new way either, lol. I am not sure what i am doing yet, but could be anything, my MOH is organising it and she works for Radical Racing so god knows what she will have us all doing!! It is a while away yet though, you will have been married for nearly 2 years by the time i get to have my hen night, lol. :) x

ah i see, well that is a shame, as the bride you should be able to dictate what you want to do, but you must be very nice to change plans for your friend! i am not having a stripper i know that much, i told my MOH i would walk out if she got one, and my h2b doesn't want all that, just drinks in pub if that! having to make him go out, lol. xx

its not that im very nice to change plans, i just wanted us all to be together and not listn to her moan, and then tell me at the last minute she wasnt going to come, thats what she usually does. i dont want a stripper, my best friend paul thought it would be good to get me one and i have told him there is no way that i want that its not my sort of thing. h2b is making the most of being allowed to have strippers as i told him it would be the only time i will let him lol xxx

i want to do a spa day for the mums, closes friends and sisters. For my main one i have no idea but my MOH was talking about a girls weekend away in ibiza. Need to work out funds the start of next year but i have my heart set on it would be fab for a tan for the wedding! x x x

We are gonna go to a cupcake making class with cocktails & champagne up in London and then on for dinner and try to find a karaoke bar :) Then the wknd b4 the wedding I'm having a pamper afternoon at mine so that my daughter can be involved as she feels she's missing out (she's only 10). Did think about doing something with the boys and I think it's a really good idea would love that maybe if she doesn't want to go paintballing what about go-karting or go-ape instead? xx

well me and h2b said we will just go paintballing some other time, and that way if its just us then we dont have to worry bout ppl dropping out, i have been pretty relaxed about everything with the wedding and the hen night, its been easier to just agree with ppl and everything has just fallen into place, and whatever we do im sure we will have fun, cant really change it to summat else now cos h2b is havin his stag do the same day and we made babysitting arrangemnts so i dont want to mess ppl about, as long as she dont say for her hen night she wants to do paintballin all is good, cos that will really annoy me lol xxx

we only got 10 weeks befor the wedding and someone i know who went said it took at least 6 weeks for the bruises to go away, so i think if we was gonna do it then it would have been this month, n its a bit short notice for everyone to get babysitters and to have the money for it, xxx

I am goin to a mexican restaurant called La Bamba!!! its a great wee place and great food and fun and we get sombraros and moustaches and maracas and heaps..
then out for drinks after !!! :D typical bride to be with L plates, veil etc lol xx

I would be really bothered if Greg wanted a stripper, i don't see the point of having one. Like i hate the view a lot of guys have when organising their mates stag nights, that it is their last night of freedom so they have to look at as many knockers as possible before being "tied down"!! I get it when a guy is single or even a girl, but when you are with someone why do you need to see someone naked and writhing over your crotch??? Maybe just the way i was brought up, or just old fashioned, lol. Greg tries to get me naked on a regular basis every day, lol, so he says he doesn't need that sort of thing when he has it right in front of him! x

pirates, lol, that would be cool. i love the idea of dressing up like cancan dancers from moulin rouge! and the corset will make me look like i have a waist, lol, but my MOH is a tomboy so we will probably end up go karting or something with drinks later! and as for the freedom thing vicky, greg hates it when guys say that, he has been mine for 2 years now, lol, but a lot of guys do talk about it like that and it p*sses me right off! god i am an old lady!! lol.

yeah it is nice that you trust each other and we do too, i think it boils down to low self esteem, thinking that if he was pulled into strip club on his stag, that he would prefer the girls in there and wish i looked like them......i hate my body after having 3 kids and not that old really, but he loves it, i should just accept that and stop worrying, lol. but he honestly said he would come home if his mates all wanted to go into strip club, he just can't be bothered with it when he could be doing something more fun like driving a tank or paintballing! xx

very true! me and greg were apart for 5 years after being together for short time, and he says he always loved me in that time and wished he hadn't ruined our relationship back then. he always says he can't believe i gave him a second chance and that he is so lucky to have me, so i have to remind myself of all these things when i feel insecure. looks like we have got good guys! :) xx

We're thinking of a joint hen/stag at Alton Towers, we were going to the Dam but it's going to be tough to get someone to agree to have both kids for a long weekend. My MOH wants to arrange something too because she won't be home in time for rollercoaster madness :( All I said was NO strippers and I wouldn't be getting silly drunk (not a big drinker these days) We were talking about doing something on our own too, maybe going to the Harrogate Baths and then on to Betty's for cucumber sandwiches and a pot of Earl Grey. Whatever she comes up with will be ace!! Then hopefully 2 days before we'll be having an afternoon high tea (how awfully civilised LOL) with parents and wedding party.
Just wanted to do something that wasn't dressing up in veils and 'L' plates and getting ridiculously drunk (no offence to anyone who is doing that, it's just not my cup of tea) xxx

Were going out for a curry then onto a place in town for the nights entertainment, lol :) I've been to this place before on a hen night and it was really good!!!! Were having all sorts of things pink, hand cuffs, tiara, veil, games..... not sure what else, apparently theres some suprises in there as well :)

Your ideas seem really fun! For my Hen night we are meeting at our local then going to the willows for a 3 course sit down meal and then and 80's experiance show with lots of dancing! wanted to choose something suitable for some of the guests as my mum and aunties are coming being a typical bride to be also with veil, wand, L plates etc lol and were all dressing up in cocktail dresses (SATC theme x)

I dunno what i'm doing for mine as my MOH has organised it all and i dunno what she'll have in store but i DO know we're going out as story book or fairy tale charachters! i'm going out as Alice in wonderland and my MOH is going out as Goldilocks. we also got dorothy from the wizard of Oz, pochahontas, the mad hatter, hermione granger, snow white, and possibly bo peep! lol x

My hen night is this Saturday ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! I am going on a wee limo ride then having a meal in a nice restaurant then onto a nightclub where my CBM has booked a booth for us all :-) I am stressing that someone has got me a stripped (it's so not my thing) so I have warned that I will just walk out and do a disappearing act!!!x
