Brenda Sas Just checked it out, it is in Oceana, and that is where we are going, but the 'show' starts earlier than they plan us to be there and you need to book tickets prior to the day of the show. Sarah are you meeting me at the Sugars for breakfast on Saturday or getting there for 10am latest?

more messages since i posted this. my sis is now saying that why do we have to go to the club we are going to and not another. i wish i could cancel i really do, just feel like crying at the moment. i cant cancel now though as it is less than 48 hours before so the hotel will still take the money from my account! xx

aww hun if its really causing you that much hassle and headaches then cancel it! if thats what you want to do! (as long as you dont lose your money!) people always forget that a hen night isnt about THEM having a good time it is about YOU having a good time!! you should get the people who arent complaining about things and go have a great time where you wnat to go and leave the others out of it and if they complain about that then say well you made such a fuss about it all i thought you wouldnt want to come!!
i know for mine its going to be a load of hassle and so im organising mine to do what i want and anyone that complains is off the list!! although to be honest im thinking or having two one here where i do a small pub crawl and one where i visit my friend in london and go watch as show with her and my mum probably and mil2b x that way i get to do what i want and no one falls out!! xx

thanks, but as it is this saturday i cant cancel it as i will have to give everyone their money back but the hotel will still charge me!
i have told them it is what i want. i have also said that me and ed have a no strippers rule and it is completly out of the question.
I am very tempeted to tell everyone that once we get there to do what they want as i dont want to get upset on my hen night xx

Which hotel are you booked with Terri? At the end of the day those you invited to your hen do paid to go to Brighton so why didnt they bring up their concerns about cost, etc before now, being 2 days away. I am sure they had plenty of time to decide whether to go or not before now so they are at fault for going ahead with it and paying and shoudntbe making you feel s hit cause they aren't happy now.
Wish I could help in some way, if I lived closer I would be down there partying the night away with you as I love Brighton and you are such a fab girl. xx

Teri i'm having the same problem and yesterday was all for telling everyone it was cancelled.
We're going to manchester for the weekend by train, when the tickets came on sale i emailed everyone with the link saying i would pay for it and them pay me, no one did. So after a couple of weeks i sent another email stating that as no one had got back to me i'd booked my own ticket as prices go up nearer to the time (so far only 2 of us have got tickets) Then i sent an email with a link to a restaurant that i wanted to go to, again no one got back to me, yesterday i sent another one asking if people were happy with it as we need to book the table as there are 15 of us and the restaurant gets full quickly. The ones that have responded are the ones that will do anything and eat anywhere, the fussy ones haven't.
My best friend and sister have fallen out as my sister was telling me what was happening as i'm a control freak and best friend said she no longer was interested in helping if i was going to know everything, so sister also hasn't done anything. In yesterdays email i asked if we were getting t-shirts or banners, and a few people said banners as that was cheaper (which is fine by me) so asked for them to come up with names, only to be shot down and told to keep my nose out as it had nothing to do with me.
I'm getting increasingly frustrated with it as no one wants to take control of the organisation and when i try to i get told off......don't know if besty and sister are winding me up and they have made plans but they both know me and know that i like everything to be organised so surely they could have the decency to let me know things are ok.
I know what Teri, lets just go off together and have a joint hen just the two of us!!! xx

i am booked into the jury's inn and they said we can cancel/change rooms up to 48hours before and if we need to cancel after we will still need to pay.
It was put on fb as an event last july so everyone has known since then what is happening and where we are going. i know the hotel is alot for some people at £53 a night but they could have said no.
If i had decided in the last month and expected everyone to pay for it in one month maybe i would understand but 10 months they have had to save money! xx

Im a little annoyed with the amount of money I am spending on my sisters hen party, but I would NEVER tell her that. I am going to make sure my sister has the best weekend of her life, because that is what is most important. I can completely understand how you are feeling. Make sure you keep your besties closest to you and have a grand time with them. Forget about the moaners. Brighton is a fab place for a night out as well.
Have yourself a few drinks and a bit of a boogie and enjoy your hen party! (I hope it all goes well!)

Jaesin- the reason no strippers is because just after me and h2b got together he went to a comedy night where there were strippers with his mates and i went out with mine. he came and met me after. some of his mates had photos/videos of this stripper and 2 mates were licking cream of this strippers itimate area and i asked ed if he did anything and he said no. anyway couple of months later i got told that he had licked cream off her and had lied to me about it and told all his mates to not tell me!
i very nearly split up with him as i felt like i couldnt trust him. so i have said he is not to go to any strip clubs and if he does the wedding is off and i really do mean it. im so worried he will go though. so i said no strippers aswell so it was fair xx

Ah I see. So I am assuming that you friends know this, if so then they are bag out of order for even having a moan up! Trust me, once they all get there it will be fine. I was being moody about going to Liverpool last weekend, but once I got on the train it was fantastic!

Just checked Jury Inns cancelling rooms rule and it says you can cancel before 2pm on the day you arrive.
Defo think they are being rather silly to moan about things now as they have had plenty notice, plenty time to pay and plenty time to decide whether it was something they wan't to attend or not. How would any of your friends like it if it was their hen do people were complaining about? Its true you can't please everyone but I so can't understand those that agree to something and then complain about it. If I was invited to a hen do I would feel privileged and honoured and would be happy to go even if it wasn't what I would choose to do, as I would be going to support my friend whos hen do it is, not for all that comes with a hen do. xx

well i text my h2b and said that i wanted to cancel it and he phoned my sister and had a go at her. he told her that i had so much to do for the wedding still and i was stressed enough without her and everyone doing it aswell. he told her that she should be supporting me as it is the only night that is about me only in my life and i should be looking forward to it and not dreading it like i am and wantin to cancel it.
I then spoke to my sister and she said why arent by bm doing it which i answered i dont know and she said they should be, it shouldnt be down to me! so i think she is going to phone one of them later and say to her about it. h2b said to her that one bm phoned me with onfo yesterday and expected me to tell everyone else and it wasnt fair and my sister isnt too happy!
Anyway, i put on fb a status saying if anyone didnt want to come then let me know and i will try and cancel their rooms but most people have commented saying they are coming and are looking forward to it! my sister has put that my bm should be doing it all though and they will see it aswell. not sure if it will do any good. xx

Have you got yourself VIP into the club? I'll put a link on your wall, tell them it's your hen and ask if they can do you any special deals, free entry, free drinks etc.
If you like cocktails you should go to Revolutions which is over the road from Oceana next to Tru. It's a nice atmosphere in there and does great drinks. There's a new ish bar just up from Oceana as well that does cocktails too. West street is the road with all the bars etc in it which is straight down from the station towards the sea.
I can recommend more places if you let me know what sort of night you want?

i think my bm has sorted out vip entry which is good. i love revelutions that is good that they are close. we are going for dinner at ask at 7. i want to go for a few drinks in different bars first and then end up in oceania, as i know the drinks are expensive in there.

well i spoke to both my bm last night and one bm has had a go at the other because she is saying she isnt going to travel with us....different cars but all together. but i think it has all been sorted. my bm said we will have a good night as we always do when we go out and if the others dont want to do the same well they can go and do their own thing!

Glad everything now sorted for you hun. Mine is now sorted too, spoke to my besty last night and she has informed me that she thought my sister had taken over but as it seems she's not doing anything she will take back the role of sorting it. Think my messages on FB prompted her to do something, so now i can just sit back and let someone else stress about it!!
