I am the same, I hate typical hen nights and I don't drink. I am thinking of going for a spa day with my mum and BM's then booking a table in a resturant for the evening and just having a meal then going home.

Maybe you could do something like that or just invite friends round for pizza and films or something? Or even a bit of a party in your own house? That way you can be with H2B and it's not the typical hen but you can all have fun.

I'm the same.. can't think of anything worse than everyone being a state and having blow up willies and strippers everywhere lol! I've not decided what we're doing yet but I'm thinking a weekend away in Bath with just my 4 bridesmaids.. spa day, shopping, lunch/dinner, (sophisticated) cocktails! Then I will just have a meal back home that everyone can come to :)

My bridesmaids have surprised me with a weekend in a lodge complete with a hot tub for a 2nd hen do, we actually went last year to celebrate my niece turning 16. There was 10 of us then split between 2 lodges, we went out sight seeing during the day then would have a meal together back at one of our lodges & then all hop into the hot tub to relax!!

I also don't really want the normal hen night either. I don't drink much these days and hangovers last about 3 days in your 30s! lol

Hoping to go to a show or for a meal somewhere if I have to have one!

We're considering a BBQ at the minute, with a lot of cake... and apparently a mechanical bull is also in consideration?? But there will be no strippers and no clubbing, because I just don't like it. I also have a man coming as he's my best man so it won't be all girls to go on a spa day or similar. A show is a good idea though, hadn't even thought of that. xx

Check out the official thread for ideas on hen nights.

I don't drink either but still had the traditional hen night still totally sober but made a weekend of it and stayed overnight in a hotel followed by a spa day.
Spa days and afternoon teas are definitely more popular now. Or if you're sporty or into activities you could go watch a sports match/game, go to the theatre or do something like bungee jumping/sky diving.

We went white water rafting in Turkey... it was surprisingly boring. Though that was probably to do with the nature of the river more than anything. We expected it to be a lot more physical. A lot of it was just sitting in a raft and paddling a bit while the current shot you forward. Even when the German family we were with fell out, it was just sitting getting wet and cold in a blow up boat. If you've been before and liked it, go for it, but if not you might be disappointed. x

When I asked my girls to be bm, I gave them a hen do hint of spa day. But might also suggest wine tasting for later in the day so its a bit of booze but not mental.

Just as a note for those looking at white water rafting - a friend went while on hols and a girl he didn't know in the raft let go of the end of her paddle and knocked her front teeth out (owww!!) so watch out. X

AnnaS where are you from? Adrenalin quarry is just down the road from me, my brother works there in the summer!! I love the bbq idea can't wait for summer, but as were getting married in winter that's not going to happen for us. Future Mrs-B is there anything you'd like to have a go at but never really had a good enough reason to? Maybe staying in a yurt or a yoga holiday, or running down a hill in a giant inflatable ball or giving the total wipe out course a go? Your hen do can be anything you want it to be, so if your not into the drinking and partying idea why not do something you might not do otherwise!
