I am just sorting out organising my hen do for this November and people etc.
Mostly everyone who is coming to my hen do / wedding will have to travel and stay over so I want to try to keep the cost down as much as possible whilst still having a good time!
I want to do an overnight hen weekend (sat to sun)... I want to have some sort of activity in the day i.e. cocktail making / dancing something on them lines and then maybe a meal and out for drinks on the town in the evening... plus we need to stay over. As I want to keep it on a budget, what realistically should I be asking people to pay for that sort of weekend???
Thanks :)

It depends. How many will be coming? If there is a lot of you it might work out cheaper to rent an apartment with enough beds for everyone than individual rooms. Also, keep your eyes pealed for voucher deals on some deal websites. Cocktail making dancing classes are almost always on there. I would expect maybe around 50-60GBP per person for accomadation and activity.

My hen do is in Liverpool in April, I have about 10 people coming and I looked into a couple of apartments, one was about a pub and looked like quite a good location, they both worked out about £50 per person. In the end though we just went for a hotel which has cost about £35 each. We're just going to have a few games in the hotel and I'm sorting a couple of ladies to come and do our hair and make up, and then we'll go out and hit the bars :-)
If you need any info about Liverpool, I live there and might be able to help. I am not a clubber, but the Docks are good for bars and restaurants and the city center for clubs. Don't ask me which ones, though. The last time I hit a club was about 4 years ago...
