H2b has said if we are not doing the church and the big wedding then he wants some stuff as traditional as we can
Ie I am wearing a veil I am staying at my parents for a few days before the wedding WE HAVE OUR HEN AND STAG NIGHTS ON THE NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING
I dont want that is as i know what we are like in the morning

I had mine two weeks before and Terry had his the week before and he looked awful the next day so I wouldnt advise having them the night before x

the way its goin my h2b will have b few coz the amount of friends he has, i have said that he can have quiet drink in our local club which is literally 100metres up the street on the nite b4, our weddin isn't until 4pm, and so long as he sticks 2 larger then hes fine! I will kill ne1 that gives him vodka it gives him b horrible rash over his face! He is stayin over his parents, 1 street away coz we have 2 lil uns! I will settle 4 some wine in the house with a few friends! Im hopin by then my daughter is weaned off the breast completely, so i can increase the amount i can drink b4 the big day, she will b 1 in april xxx

We're having ours a few weeks if not a month before the big day! Lads are going abroad somewhere and I think a group of 17 girlies are going to go to Blackpool for a few days :) and then I'll have a meal and drinkies for ladies who couldnt make or weren't invited to Blackpool and Mums lol and then a few days before the wedding me my mum and my 3 adult bridesmaids will go to a spa for a day to get our bits and bobs done for the wedding like waxing, nails, have a massage etc xxx

Absolutely not! Don't know when we will have ours but prob month before although I'm sure he'll honour for a quiet few with the lads the night before and I have one of my bms stating at the hotel with me x

Oh great heavens no! Yeesh, terrible idea! A few drinks, fine, but the whole hen/stag thing? Not a chance! H2b has enough trouble getting out of bed in a morning, if his stag's the night before I'd be lucky if he made the wedding at all!

My hen do will probably be a couple of days before the wedding and his stag is 2 weeks before as the week before lands on a bank holiday and will be our 13 yr anniversary. :)

not a flaming chance!! for too risky. Not only will you not enjoy your day as much cause you will be tired and hungover, but there is also the chance of things going wrong!! one of you sleeping in, black eyes, scraped knees, or one of you could easy be sitting in an A&E dept. Not worth the risk in my opinion!

bad idea. Doves other half and his mates had some drinks the night before, they were hanging for one. Also the best man had a bad head injury so the day after the wedding had to go to a&e lol

My friend last year had a stag do the night before his wedding... he had already had his "big" one with the lads, he was supposed to be spending his last night at a local pub with a few mates n best man (my OH). They did behave themselves eventhough they ended up clubbing in town n not getting in till 1am, the main prob was they decided it was a good idea to go for a curry. The mornig of the wedding the groom, the Best man and the ushers all stank of curry and garlic.... lookily his wife to be didnt mind too much lol!! and the wedding was fantastic... after a few extra strong mints lol!!

the night brfore our wedding was fab,after wed set up the tables in the venue we came home and had a massive chinese,me glenn,john (glenns brother) his partner mel and her sister laura and alisha and cam,the brought us a few bottles of champagne it really was nice to relax

I think I'm having the hen day a couple of days before the wedding as we are having a spa day with no alcohol as I can't drink with my meds anyway. It means I get all my beauty treatments done like waxing etc. I don't want it the day before as I have to do things like pick up my dress, drop off luggage at the venue etc etc. On the night I want to kick everyone out, have a chilled night with a chick flick on my own so I can stay calm and try and get some sleep. If I have everyone around I will only stay up late and they will keep me excited.
I don't think I would like to be drinking the night before the wedding. It depends on your hubby really. If he isn't a big drinker then I shouldn't see it being a problem but I would ask him if he really wants to be stinking of beer on his wedding day or have a hang over. Also if he is adamant about having his stag night then that is up to him but that doesn't mean you have to have your hen night the same night. I don't think he has thought it through. Nice post ;P

yes i did hun,,didnt see any point in not being together the night before,it was lovely,cuddled up in bed (nothing sexual),talking,and he told me that "this time tomorrow night id be his wife",he helped me relax and sleep,we spent the morning together as a family,he even came and washed my back for me in the bath!!,until my make up artist arrived,then mum and sarah ,mum got her make up done and glenn left with her to go get ready,the next time i saw him he was stood at the end of the aisle with the hugest smile iv ever seen

Complete no no for me. We are having ours about 6 weeks before. Been at a hen night where the bride to be fell, broke her arm and her big day was only a week away. Wouldnt want to waste such a special day feeling tired/hangover x

if the only reason he wants to do it is to keep to some traditions, why dont you tell him to buy you a luckenbooth, a sixpence and then to carry you over the threshold when you get home. Why does it have to be the night before stag do tradition? there are loads of others!
