    Hello Ladies.
I have found a venue i have fallen in love with in petersfield, but my other half doesnt want people driving etc there to come back again the same night, and we have looked at a coach and its like 1000pounds for 2x 52 seaters.
Does anyone know of any nice places?
I live in portsmouth. I would love to have a patio area for people to chill out in the sun as our wedding will be in July, and lots of green and nice veiws.
Theres just nothing in portsmouth :(

I don't know your area i'm afraid but could you look into some where slightly further out but somewhere with accomodation so people can stay over and don't have to worry about driving back? We couldn't find anywhere near where we wanted originally so that's what we've done - found a nice independant hotel with beautiful grounds, a lovely garden and patio etc but with lots of rooms so people can stay.

I get why your other half is concerned but lots of people stay away for the night at weddings these days, lots of people I know quite enjoy going away for the night - it's like a mini weekend away some where. xx

Is it in the centre of Petersfield? It's really not that hard to get there - there's a train station and lots of buses...
Have you thought about Chichester or Winchester - may be a bit far out for you though....or what about Bosham - I love that place, so quaint!

What about Titchfield way, or even Botley, couple of lovely places there who do wedding fairs as well.

Oooh yes, Botley! I went to a fancy Xmas party there years ago when I was 18....and got proposed to by my b/f at the time....but that's a different story LOL!
I've always loved Titchfield for some reason too. No idea why.

I lived in Fontley and in Fareham over a time period of 2 years when I was at Fareham College.

Sorry Tara, I feel as though we've digressed somewhat LOL!

Hey -- we live in Portsmouth too and are having a similar problem -- we are going to look at the Queens Hoyel as it looks grand from the outside and has beaytiful views aver the common/sea -- not sure what their grounds are like, though. Also going to view the Royal Marines Museum -- they have a lovely and very big green garden with trees and wot not -- great for photos and again views of the sea. Also lots and lots of hotels/B&B walking distance/short taxi ride away along the sea front so easy to get to and from...either of those options for you? Or Langstone hotel? Thayt has a balconey/veranda depending on which room you choose plus harbour views and obviously rooms for guests too x
