Hi ladies, i bought a basque off bay of e some time last week, it was beautiful. Ivory satin, never been worn brand new from La Senza, £35....i got it for £5. I got it Saturday tried it on.....and disaster!
The basque is a size 34a....which i am. BUT.... for some reason i dont fill it.....AND the part that goes round my belly is too small.
It wouldnt even do up on the loosest setting. Im a size 12 on top 14 on bottom but 34a
Im a little stuck as to what to get now, as my dress is corsetted back strapless, (see pix)
I need something which is mega padded for my small bust and that will hold in my waist and tummy. My bum is beautiful ((lol)) So no need for control there.
What should i be looking for.

Hey hun, do you really need anything? your dress is lace up isnt it? could you not tighten it so much that it pulls your tummy in? That is what i will be doing with mine i think! and just get yourself a nice comfortable bra? xx

If ur dress is corseted wouldn't a lycra shapewear be better, u can get a multiwAy dress slip with bra included from m and s so your held in but no too tight or uncomfortable

aw :-/ have you tried some of the big department stores? they do some lovely underwear and you could try it on and find what you really feel comfortable in...and then maybe even see if there is a cheaper version online somewhere? xx

I would think with an A cup you won't need a bra, just some shapewear for your waist and the corset on the dress will sort out your top half :-)

i do need a bra as the dress i bought is a size 14 its huge up top where im so little. It'll need taking in but i was hoping that with wearing a mega padded bra that i wudnt look so flat chested and may not have to get the dress taken in so much as i would if i wasnt wearing anything. Maybe a basque wasnt a smart option but like i said i know nothing lol
    Thanks Ziggy.

Your seamstress should be able to advise on how much to be taken in, generally you can take up to 2 sizes off a dress without losing any shape - then if you get it adjusted to your size the corset back will be fine :-)

Kimberlee. I feel your pain. I have exactly the same problem. Am exactly the same size as you and it is the bit of the planning that I am absolutely dreading. Have even been considering surgery however my £5000 budget wont go nearly that far! I think its gonna take a lot of dress adjustment and some 'chicken fillets'.

It CAN feel like you're the only one sometimes, can't it?! All we have to remember is our H's2B love us for who we are and love us just as we are. A small comfort when every dress is too big across b00bs!
