Hi I'm new to the whole idea of getting married and planning a wedding and was just wondering how I go about if I set a venue like a hotel? Instead of a church how would I get a registra for the day. Anyone been to a wedding showcase and are they any good? Thanks in advance for your help xx

Hi :)
I have been to a few wedding showcases and some have been fab and has given us plenty of ideas . If you get in touch with venues such as hotels they can talk you through what is needed also if you look on your local council website under the wedding register sections they will have some prices for cost of registrar . You could even find prices for hotel weddings on the actual hotel website . So have a look for what venue and dates you want , contact hotel to maybe organise a viewing and enjoy the start of the planning process :) x

As said you need to contact your council to book a registrar. If you fall in love with one venue though, might be worth checking with them and booking a date before booking a registrar though as you may find they don't have that date available. Unless you have a date in mind then book it first and then try and find a venue. You can only book with a registrar 12 months in advance though
