Has anyone ever booked a supplier then had trouble getting in contact with them?

I am hoping for a simple explanation as to why the website has disappeared, the page has gone from FB and the phone goes straight to voicemail but I am clutching at straws I'm sure

    Any advice greatly received

On no. That doesn't sound good at all.
One of those things and I'd hold out some hope but website , fb and phone - very worrying.
What type of supplies? I'd be looking at alternatives if it was possible. And fingers crossed for you this isn't a huge expense x

Perhaps google the name to see if anyone else has posted about them?

That is worrying. How long have you been trying to contact them for?

Googled it and the company came up on yell with a different mobile number
Called it and it has rang a fair few times but no answer
Will keep trying (it does say closed on Sunday's)
Its a company run from home though so I very much doubt I have a chance in getting my deposit back :-(

companies run from home still must follow the same rules as other companies. If there was a contract, whether that be in writing, email etc, then they have to give that deposit back if they have breached. small claims will see to this. even threatening them with small claims should work if you get the forms and send them! they have no legal right to monies if they ave breached a contract with you. trading standards are able to offer much advice. i would worry that they have your number saved on the new number they are using and would try also calling from a witheld number (141) as you may have more luck of them answering if they dont know its a current client.

what type of supplier? cake, photo?

Thanks for the posts, I got hold of the husband and his wife is in hospital with pregnancy problems he tells me.
He knew who I was and when the wedding was and that they will be in touch asap.
I have the contracts here so if no contact I will be aiming for my deposit back for sure.

Its nothing major that will ruin the day but something we both wanted x

I'm really not trying to dishearten you hun but are you sure he's telling you the truth? He may be telling you that to stop you contacting and he may have been thinking up excuses to get you off the phone. Did you ask why website and facebook account have disappeared? And why when you looked up the number it's a different one from what you have? xxx

I too am very pessimistic so would be wary. Try contacting again and see if he can give you some answers. I understand she 'may' be ill but it sounds very suspision, it would not explain why the website etc has been taken down!

What were they supplying for you?
