Hi, We recently got our rings and H2b has really big knuckles on his fingers so his is a bit of a tight fit going over his knuckles then a bit lose on his finger. I brought him a ring guard which works really well but just means that its even tighter going over his knuckle but does with a bit of wriggling. What I was wondering is, does anyone know of any tips to help slide on the wedding ring so we don't look like completely idiots trying to put it on in fron of everyone, preferably something that wont make too much mess either of stain my dress :-)

Sorry, I have no idea now except, try to do it at home and do it slowly so people will no see that you are struggling.
If you do it few time before the wedding you might find the best way to do it.
Anything else I can think of is a bit messy.

lol, I know the only things I can think off are messy, but was wondering if anyone else had the same problem as i have heard big knuckles are quite common for blokes.

Hmmm maybe a little bit of vaseline just on the inside of the ring! You shouldn't need to touch the inside of it :o)

I remember trying on whole jade bracelets that were meant to be for life and the lady used soapy water-don't know if that's in anyway better than vaseline though!

my H2B has big knuckles to.. he even sturggled to try his wedding ring on.. so im probably gunna have the same problem.. but if H2B has sweaty/hot hands on the day it really wont help cause they swell more.. so trying to stay cool/calm might help abit.. the cooler your hands are the better.. which might help abit i dont know.. that was probably really useless.

we havent got h2b's wedding ring yet, but his fingers are really strange! his knucles are huge and the rest of his finger is really thin, he tried on a sizer thing in the shop where we got my wedding ring from and it took him ges to get it off, he had the thing with all the sizes hanging off his hand while he was trying to pull his size off his finger with his mouth! sooooo embarassing! we are doing the vasaline thing too, as its going to be really hot in jamaica and my fingers will be swollen like sausages! x

My H2B has big knuckles, but he's not gunna wear a ring, so I can just buy a cheap one and a bit bigger than his finger size, for the ceremony.. I'm a bit gutted that he wont wear one personally though :( x

Well any of you that have the problem with big H2b's big knuckles, check out the silver ring guards, they work really well. Like shopie my H2b things are really thin its just his knuckles that are big and the ring guard stops the ring from rolling around and sliding up and down his finger. They are really good.
