There are a couple of ladies on here that have had/are having gothic weddings. The one that easily springs to mind is GothBride. You should hunt her down and pick her brains. I'm sure I've also seen someone else mention a Tim Burton style too. I'll have a think and let you know who it is, if I can remember.

    Great theme btw :)

Actually GothBride is married now so if you use the search function and pop in MrsGothBride to the search criteria and click on members, then you should find her. Send her a friend request x

    When I think Tim Burton,

I think Nightmare before Christmas, Edward scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Batman and Beetlejuice. Its Gothic, but not as worshipping, more magical and fantasy.

If your going for gothic medieval I would aim for a cathedral or find a venue that's dark and light with candles, random spot lights with a hint of red decor.

I would get everyone to wear dark coloured clothing but remain really smart.

For your outfit, definitely a corset, if your going to wear white you could wear like a small tophat with a black birdcage veil, black ribbon around the waist.

    centrepieces, black birdcages....

Or if you go more mystical with again black with crystals resemblance of gothic fairies, pixie dust, wands....but classy

I second LK's suggestion of friending GothBride. I think she had a planning diary, I'll try to find it and bump it for you. I've also left some links for you on your profile.

I bumped these threads for you: "This Thursday! Our 'alternative' wedding - diary, updates, planning and pics!" & "An amazing day! Now husband and wife (with a couple of pics)"

I also found that GothBride's user name has changed to: MrsGothBride

    xx
