    Hi ladies.
I'm having Abit of a dilemma and would love to hear your thoughts.
I lost my dad 3 months ago, we was very close and although I'd of loved him to walk me down the aisle I know that can't happen now

Sorry to hear of your loss.

There are so many traditions but people are doing things how they WANT to these days, wedding planning doesnt have to be so old fashioned. Do you have a a brother, uncle, grandad or male family member that you may want to walk you down if you want the tradition of it being someone male? Otherwise SOO many brides now have their mum walk them down. Some go alone, some with a bridemaid, close friend etc. You can have whoever you want. Theres no wrong way to do it x

It's hard to vote because we don't know enough about you, them or your relationship with them! Is your gut telling you someone in particular? If you can't make up your mind, you could always have both of them walk you down the aisle :)

I don't think anyone can vote , no-one can choose something like this for you, Sorry to hear you lost your dad :( some women walk down the aisle on own even, or with a daughter or son , or anyone , it really can be anyone you want . i think flossies good idea, if cant decide then have both :)

It really depends on how close you are to each of them. Have you thought about having your mum walk you down the aisle? Sorry for your loss x

Firstly sorry to hear of your loss.

I think it depends on the relationship you have with them, are you really close to your step dad? If not I would say Brother

My Father would have majorly upset if I asked my Step Dad. But to be honest he's a terrible step father, so much so I dont even class him as that.
My brother wants to walk me down the aisle but I have said one day he will have his own kids and he'd get to walk his daughter which would mean so much more to him.
I am walking alone, I believe I will leave that space beside me open for the spirit of my Dad who will almost certainly be there!!
Good luck with your decision making hun.
Don't be afraid to go it alone!!

Oh Stephanie, you've made me cry! :)

I'm so sorry for your loss, Lucy. It's a difficult decision, but it is yours. If I were in your position I would personally have my brother, but that is because we are very close and he is the only person I think my dad would be alright with. Heh. I would actually pick my mother over my brother, but I did already say I'd like both of my parents to give me away and she said no because she would become a snivelling wreck halfway down the aisle and it would spoil the photos... good ol' mother.

Whatever you decide will be the right choice, and like Stephanie says, if that means you walk alone then so be it :) xx

Sorry for your loss. You could have a picture of your dad in your bouquet so you really feel like he is there with you to walk down the aisle. x
