I tried my dress on the other day. The lady in the dress shop started talking about a clip to hold the bra in place. Can anyone shed any light on this, i know nothing about dresses or sewing! Is it just a clip that is removable? Do I have to use it with the bra that I try my dress on with? Advice appreciated, thank you?

never heard of that before but i would imagine it would be something that was part of the dress. are you definatly wearing a bra with your dress and not a corset? if so the idea sounds good.

I'm not sure hun - not at that stage yet
Have you googled wedding dress fitting to see what it comes up with? May give you some tips on what you need for the fitting and what the dressmaker may say or do

    Best of luck xxx

I have not heard that before but probably just a thing they use if they think your bra might shift about a bit under your dress, and just want you to be comfortable the whole day. And when is your final fitting? They should have mentioned to you about wearing the underwear you want to wear on the day for a fitting to make sure it is concealed under your dress. The underwear I wore under my dress when I first tried it on showed at the back, so they just told me to get a low backed corset or bra. So many things to remember, lol. Good luck with it all and really exciting that you only have 2 months to go!!! :D

i've not heard of a clip before hun. when i was a bridesmaid for my sister they attached straps inside the dress so i could thread my bra through it to stop it from riding up and showing over the top of the dress. maybe its something like that??? it sounds like they know what they are doing so i wouldnt worry x

Was this a b..erka.tex dress? Cos when I tried dresses on there they were on about a clip in the front that attaches you bra to your dress so it doesn't slip down n show it. xx

    There are 2 options hun

    1. they put loops on the back so the bra becomes part of the dress and it wont slip and show ya bra at the back

    2. is a clip at the front that holds bra in place on the dress to stop any gapping

That is at least the options i got and yes your meant to wear the bra you were fitted with or one really similar shape wise xx

I'm not sure if I'm going to wear a bra with my dress as it has an in built corset. I think I will see which I feel most comfy in and decide nearer to the time. I like the idea of the loops though so that the back doesn't ride up.
