Hi everyone, I got engaged in December and we have just found out that we are lucky enough to be one of the few couples that can marry in St Paul's Cathedral, London. It's amazing and overwhelming...however...

Before I knew that St. Paul's was a possibility for us, I had imagined an outdoor, country, rustic wedding. I wanted a tipi, hog roast, lawn games etc.everything handmade. I've searched the depths of the internet in the hope that there is an outdoor space in Central london I can use to make this a reality and unsurprisingly I've not had a lot of luck!

The venue would need to be within about 5 miles of the Cathedral, somewhere that would allow us to put a yurt/tipi or that would be the type of venue that had some outdoor space that I could turn into my english garden party dream!

I'd appreciate all your ideas as I'm really struggling and I'm hopping that this is a possibility! Look forward to hearing from you all.

    Mols x

I used to live in the kings college university halls at kidderpore avenue in London, beautiful buildings not like uni digs at all. Round the back they had a big piece of grass which they might let u hire out/ give donations to the uni to use? If you are getting married out of uni term time there's a good chance u would have it to yourself! I haven't been there for 5 years so they might have built on it by now! Might be worth a sneaky look around! Other uni's in Central London might also have large outdoor spaces... The good thing about the one I mentioned is that it is 5mins walk from the Heath- photo potential! Xx

I've found one picture on google images the grass is behind the white pillared building the pic has some people sat out on it. The red brick building is next to the white one the studenty looking ones are on the other side of the road further down xx

Thanks. I think I've done it now.

That outdoor space looks lovely. I will try and get in touch with them.
