when deciding on your food do you consider what every one likes or just go with what you like?
we are going to have two main meal options but i am worried certain people wont like them. i have one vege guest so will def cater for her needs specially then just go with a meat and veg option and a pasta option. do you all think this will be ok xx

we have 100 guests and have gone with roast beef and yorkshire puds and then a veg option everyone seems to be happy with it. Only have 1 that wont eat roast but she is happy with the veg option.
In the end we did opt with something we both eat as point less catering for all those people and not eating ourselves

Personally I'm going for things that are generally liked. They've got a huge selection at our venue, but I know I wouldnt be impressed by some spinach mousse something or other so we're going for straightforward dishes
Starter: soup or pate Main: Chicken balmoral or pot roasted beef Sweet: not sure but we've narrowed down to either pavlova wit fruit, cheesecake, profiteroles or lemon tart. We want to have a fruity one and a rich one for people to choose from
They've given them fancy names in the wedding brochure but that's basically what they translate too. I actually cant wait to have my pate with red onion marmalade and highland oaties haha x

we've gone for canapes and a selection of mini mains, this way everyone can pick what they like but it's a bit more refined than a buffet :)

you will never cater for everyone. Go with what you like and just cater for special dietary needs that you know about. If you can afford it, put in a bit of variety. If not, and guests don't like it they can always go to the chippy!!

we're having a 3 course meal and we've done a bit of both. There's one starter that we both really wanted so we've gone for that but don't know how popular it will be. We chose the chicken main course as we thought that was the safest option, and we've chosen the dessert we think will be the most popular - passionfruit mousse with tuille biscuits..mmm..... :o)
