As most men my OH doesnt get involved with much of the planning, most of his respoces are 'wot ever you like darling'. So I have chosen my music to enter the church in and have gotten it approved, bearing in mind im getting married in Sri Lanka and they are very religous and can be quite strict. I have chosen 'you raise me up' to walk in to and the other day we were in the car and the song came on and he said he hated the song and changed over. I then told him i had planned to walk in to this and then he tried to act like he liked the music etc. Wot do i do? do i change the song or do i keep it?

If I was in that situation I would ask my OH what song he though was a better choice - listen to it and see if you agree if not go with what you like ... It's all about compramise - some of the ladies on here would say to do what you want but I think if this is the only thing he gets involved in to do with the wedding let him help :D xx

my h2b hates my song i choose, a moment like this - by leona lewis - but however when we talked about it he said that walking down the isle is my big moment and he is happy to have it if it meant something to me.
like zoe said its all about compromise hun, that wasn't a big deal to my h2b however he picked a song for after when walking out that i didn't partically like however he feels thats his big moment walking out with his wife. swings and roundabouts.
id talk to him hun ask him if he minds the choice u made and if he feels its a big deal to him or if he would mind letting u have that big moment with the song u would like.

My OH doesn't like my song either but i will keep playing it until he learns to like it lol :P x
I've just started compiling lists of songs for the wedding but it keeps getting shorter and shorter because he is so opinionated about music at the moment the only song he approves of on the list is kings of leon- sex is on fire and that is soo not appropriate for a church wedding LOL!

Hahaha sar, the vicar would love that!

MMm I think not especially as he's my uncle and very strict!

lol oh dear! you should get your OH to make a list and see if there is anything what you like on it x

Honest opinion? I think a wedding is about the two of you and not just showcasing a bride and her taste. Music is so meaningful, the moment you walk down should be YOUR moment together. Ask him and choose together.

I see where you coming from. Do you have favourite films you both like? You could take music from there?

I would advise that you ask him what kind of song - or songs - he would prefer. Or find out if he really really detests the song you have chosen. If he really doesn't like it I don't think you should use it, but if it is just not his cup of tea then you could still consider having it. xxx

when i was little my dad and i always listened to phill collins and so i thought it was quite fitting that we listened to one of his songs as he walked me down the aisle too join james and so was dead set with groovy kind of love.... when i told h2b what i wanted, he teased me that people will laugh about that crisp advert with g.lineker lol. we did have a good giggle but was a bit gutted, although i havent ruled it out, i do know how you feel when they dont feel 100% about something as you do xx
