    ok what it is is that i live in bromley but pay my council tax to lewisham council (live on the borders of 2 councils.)so do i give notice to lewisham or bromley or both.
    when i booked the man said that it is to the council u pay council tax to but when we got the papper work it said that cos we live in bromley we have to give notice with them.so confused pleae help me.

    Hi,i wldnt give ur notice to both as u have to pay total £60 just to provide the details! Av u spoken to ur venue to ask them? Its kcc u book ceremony thru and go to them to give ur notice wen u spk to them they will advise u where u can go,doesnt necessarily av to 1 where u live. The 1 nearest to us was fully booked so we went to another 1 locally. Sorry gone on a bit there,hope it helps :) x

    I was told we had to give notice to our local ragistrar ... then send the paperwork to the registry office near where our venue is as we are getting married by them ... flippin heck .. I think I'm gonna get confused as well when the time comes! xx

    I think with the amount of money we all av to cough up to kcc to get married u wld think they wld help u out and send the paperwork for you! Saying that we gave our notice on 22nd feb+we still avnt ad formal letter to say we can legally get married etc,probably av to chase that up! x

    me and my H2B live in different counties and we have to apply at both , i think it's rediculus and pay at both reg offices

    yeah i was told you have to give notice in the area you pay council tax we were originally going to give notice at guildford and get married at weybridge as i was told that i had to give notice at nearest reg office but this isn't the case so going to weybridge in june plus good as we can have a proper snoop around x
