    Congratulations and welcome Loubielou,

I think that you have done well in your planning so far, regarding the colour scheme, that's the one thing my H2B wanted to choose, so we have gone for Royal blue and Ivory.

I have already chose my dress and paid deposit and been told to leave it no later than November to get measured and order it. We get wed 31st may 2014 x

I would phone a few dress shops ask about timescales for ordering/delivery etc

congratulations! most shops say you should order your dress 6-9 months before wedding so that it arrives in time for fittings - just to give you an idea mine took 7 months to arrive in the shop. as for bridesmaids, you should be fine ordering theirs in january - they dont take so long to arrive.

for colours, we have gone with eggplant purple and ivory - i chose this after looking at bridesmaid dresses so if your not sure its always a good thing to go and look at some bridesmaid dresses in different colours to give you some ideas xx

Hello, welcome to the UKBride family. You need to keep your colour scheme simple, no more than two or three. Think about what goes well together. Once you do your dress shopping you might have a clearer idea.

I would be looking at dresses just now for you and november time for bridesmaids. If you haven't already tried on dresses yet it may take a while to the find 'the one' and then it wont arrive on time. Like has been said keep colour scheme simple or wait until you choose a dress for you as you may fall in love with a gown that has colour in it such as pink embroidery which might not work so well with emerald green or royal blue xx

Congratulations! If your set on leaving it til jan then that's ok different shops have different time scales, if I ordered mine brand new it would have taken 9 weeks to come back I had enough time but had it less than half price off the peg! Also January time there are lots of sales on, you could still go and have a look so you know what styles you like good luck x
