Hi girls i need some advice. The parents in law are paying for our wedding venue an so after visiting a couple of venues i liked they were a bit over budget an didnt want to make his parents feel they had to pay for an expensive venue. so i ended UP picking a cheaper venue that i dont really like to ease the worry of them having to pay for it, but now i have fallen in love with a venue i saw on the internet its perfect but i dont wanna say anything as i would just sound ungreatful what do i do? just pretend i like the venue we already have an just settle? HELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPP

did you not set a budget with them in the first place? You have to remember its YOUR wedding s do what you want to do. why dont you talk to them and sugust this other venue and see their thoughts.... if it is too expensive for them then fair enough and you will have to decide if you can pay the difference or not?!

What's the prices of the venue you've found online like? What does H2B think? Easiest thing to do would be to get him to tell them you've found another venue and get him to make out like it's what he really wants and you'd prefer it too. That might work!
I know how you feel though, my in laws are paying for most of our wedding too and I didn't want to take the pee.

I think you need to find out what the budget is, and once you know exactly how much you have to spend negotiate with the venue you want. There are always things that can be done to get it within your price range.

I'd talk it through with them, just explain how you're feeling but that you don't want to offend them or seem ungrateful, they might surprise you and be completely on board with your decision.
I would be honest with them and talk openly with them. what harm can it do? They will realise it is a special day for you.

be honest and talk to them.... if it is over their budget can you not offer to put some towards it so that you get the venue of your dreams? xx

Why not check the price of your current reception venue and see what kind of wedding you can have at the possible new venue for that? May have to be a smaller do but it's a compramise to get the venue you want. Talk to your h2b though and then the 2 of you talk to his parents x

Definitely talk it through with them hun. It might be that they will like our venue more too! I'm not being funny but remember this day reflects on them too or should I say they think that it does lol. They might want the venue more too.
