I've been invited to a wedding and within the invite was a slip with an app on it whic you can download onto your phone and add a code so that you can share the pictures with them both, I've never seen this before, anyone else seen this? I thought it was a good idea.

I have heard of it before and I think it's a great idea..... One of my concerns is that people will upload photos on social media of photos taken throughout the day. Now, I appreciate people see no harm in that but I personally would like to be the first person to put photos on.

I might look into that further GF and include it in my invites x

I think its a really good idea - you just sign up and make a Wedding ID. When your guests then take pictures they put your ID in and every snap they upload will automatically go onto there. Gives you the chance to see them first and also to be able to put the first one up on any social media sites. I really think we'll use this! xx

Would like to know how this works in reality. I have book face. But I don't use it and very very rarely post on it. I have no problem people posting to there but the thought of going throu saving the pics from there sounds awful!

So do the pics get stored in the app or on bookface and if the app how do you save them after.

I have seen ads for this and think it's great but wanted a bit more info

I used a sharing app (W3d P1cs) a couple of years ago for my engagement party. But no one else was interested and I was the only person to use it.

I think people feel it crams their devices with unneccessary apps/potential spam or something. *Shrugs* I have relatives who are very touchy about giving away their email address and such. *LE SIGH*

I'm thinking on doing this. Friends of ours had it for there wedding last year however they didn't tell guests b4 hand they just put the posters on tables at weddings. They didn't have a great response from it but I think it's a good idea to include it in with invite

You add to it. Essentially its a HUB that you upload to. You can also access it through a PC/Laptop so you can upload actual camera photos so not just camera-phone ones.

Additionally you can also upload videos, links to wedding gift list sites, engagement photos, nearby hotel info, venue information. Hen/Stag event.

Whats great as well is you can order prints, table cards etc

Exactly. I personally decided to go for it as it would be a great place to have all our professional wedding photos so people can see them and because we own the copyright they won' be watermarked by the photographers :) not to mention we can also add the highlights video of the day courtesy of the videographer.

We are giving people a usb stick so they can upload all the pictures and send them to us. We have addressed envelopes for them so they can post them back or just give them back to us. Idea of our photographer as we were going to put single use cameras on the table x

Yeah they get stored in the app!! you can add different albums that your guests can then add too so for ex if you got 1 named 'cake' all the different pictures can be loaded into the same place - makes it easier to sort through. then you can order prints directly through the app as well xx

Yes we are using this app too, it's great as people upload their pics and everyone who has the app can see them all, also can upload honeymoon pics et. As well and also add wedding location and accommodation details and also gift lists on there. It's good if people forget their invite and where they are meant to be going! I've invited people to download it before the wedding so they are prepped! Will also put some chalk signs up too! It is American though but easy enough to use here doesn't really make any difference.

I'm using the app already! It's really good, you can put some info about the wedding too. There is an option you can select so people won't be able to share on social media (I've also wrote a note asking them not to share). It's free and pretty simple! And you can collect all the photos at once!

It's a good app though as it goes from engagement to anniversary I think off the top of my head

My friend's brother used W3dp1cs at his wedding and apparently it was brilliant. She did suggest us using it and I downloaded the app but I couldn't get on with it myself.

We were really lucky because only one photo went of book of face shortly after the ceremony. It was my Sister's Boyfriend but we let him off because he was running the london marathon the next day and had to leave straight after the wedding breakfast :o)
