Hello everyone I am having a dilemma, I have just bought my wedding dress (nearly) and I need it taking up but I cannot decide between wearing heels and flats.

I love the look of heels and it adds some much needed height to me. but i find them uncomfortable after a while as I have a high arch and it starts to ache massively after a couple of hours. Does anyone no of any reasonable priced shoes that are made well enough to stop this happening if anyone else has the same problem?

Or does anyone no of any really pretty reasonably priced flats that would be good for wedding shoes? Not really sure where to start looking!

My worst nightmare is my feet being sore on my wedding day!

well i bought flats as i have a mobility problem and can no longer wear heels as it hurts every part of my body to do so. so choice was made.
saying that, when my friend got married, she told me she wished she'd worn flats as her feet were killing her!
even my MOH is buying some flats (same as mine ironically) to have handy incase she gets sore feet. xx

Yeah i think comfort is the way forward saying that some flat shoes hurt my feet as well if they are cheap, primarks are terrible for that!lol Anyone no of any good flat shoes? I tend not to spend alot on my everyday shoes and I normally find out there not comfortble after wearing them for a few hours.. xx

Im terrible with kitten heels, the heels on them are so thin i end up wobbling all over the place! lol though looking out for a small thick heel might be an idea!

Wedges are quite comfy. Otherwise I don't know, I've got some heels that are super comfy, and some that are a pure pain, and I couldn't really tell you why... :/ sorry, I think you just have to have a look around until you find a pair thats right for you

I agree on the wedges and you can always take flats with you and just change through the day/night if needs be :-)

Dance shoes! Firstly they're cheaper than a lot of wedding shoes but most importantly, they are sturdier and meant to be worn for long periods of time. They're very structured and will offer a lot of support. I'd recommend you go to your nearest dance wear shop and try on a pair. They also come in various width fittings so you can get the exact match for you. Hx

I've gone for heels and flats! Both from Debenhams (I find their shoes really comfy). The heels arent really high cos I'd never be able to walk up the aisle! And heels do tend to hurt my feet after a while, so I am going to wear them around the house a few weeks before to wear them in and get used to them. I think they cost me about £30. I've just got some ivory flats too for £16. They're the same sort of design I wear everyday so I know they'll be really comfy.

Im going for flats or very low wedges from the high street. Im a size 7 and have wide feet so normal shoes are hard enough to find so im sticking to the shops I use for my everyday shoes as they cost enough. Definately stick with what you know is comfy. Think practical too, I will probably spend much of the reception running around after my son who will be just over 2 at the time of the wedding (boy that sounds strange to say, he's only 16 weeks now). If your feet hurt because your shoes aren't comfy then you micht be more distracted with the pain/discomfort than actually enjoying your big day xx
