Go for a small heel so you have a tiny bit of height as this will mean you don't have to have as much altered in terms of length on your wedding dress. Then have a pair of pumps or flat shoes/slippers that you can put on in the evening so your feet don't hurt

Might be an idea for you but when you buy your dress if you haven't already try on shoes that day too and see what feels comfortable and whether or not you like having heels on. It may be that you get flats for the whole day. Nobody says you have to have a certain shoe

    Best of luck :) xxx

I'm having flats because I'm already taller than my h2b and it will make me feel less self-conscious about the difference. Normally it doesn't really bother me that much these days, but I'm thinking about photos here as well... :P

im in a bit of a pickkle to be honest i dont really want to wear heels as OH shorter than me wen we both barefoot but i like heels as they easier for mne to walk in! Plus my dress doesnt need altering if i wear my heels and im not paying 100 for a couple of inches/cm off bottom!! tho might get away with it?? Id like to wear flats but im ungainly in em!

I would opt for kitten heels too if I was in your situation or what my sister in law did was wear heels for most of the day but in the evening changed to flats. x

if you never wear heels then wear flats! Heels will cause you too much pain otherwise! I wear heels to work and am constantly on my feet at work otherwise I would be taking the sensible flat option!

I have 3" heels for the day in one colour and then kitten heels in a different colour for the evening :0) But I WILL be wearing them round the house an hour a day until the big day so I am used to them and they dont rub my feet xxxx

I have the same problem too, I never wear heels and can't walk in them when I do put them on. Sooooo, with that in mind, I went a bit crazy yesterday when I went to Camden Market and bought myself some purple heeled new rock boots with a huge heel........eeeek what have I done??? Not sure they will go with my wedding dress, BUT on a positive note, I bl**dy love them - maybe I could wear them after we get married lol ;-)

if you feel uncomfortable in heels then wear flats. or you could have both, star the day in heels and end in flats. I like heels and think they make my posture better and walk better (not clomping). Heels dont have to be high dont forget, kitten heels or something like that where its just an inch or 2 high, doesnt have to be really thin 4 inch stilettos. I also dance better in heels ;o). I will be barefoot by the end of the night though i think
