i had a similar issue, my original headdress got damaged I now have a tiara and plain single tiered veil. If you like your mum's headdress wear it, it can be your something old

I'm not sure either. I know I definately don't want a veil as there I think that would take detail away from dress and bolero jacket. I originately wanted a headband after being to some wedding fayres but I am watching 2 beautiful tiaras on the bay of e that would so go with my dress and i'm so confused too!

I agree with heidianne that it would nice to wear your mums headdress as your something old. I have my grans wedding ring and when I told my mum I was going to put that in my flower bouquet as my something old she cried! (My gran died 15 years ago).

my mum is making the dress and the origanal pattern was a corset and skirt so the plan was use the material from her dress (which my great nan mad) for the top thats where the idea for her headdress came from but then we went dress trying on and found one in my colour scheme which is burgundy and cream which we both started crying over so went out and got a pattern for that. now my mum has always not been keen on my dyeing my red hair and the last time i did it it should have been mystic violet but came out burgundy when trying THE dress on she said thats it and thats the hair colour thats why i'm now stuck lol

I'm burgundy and Ivory. If you are struggling go for a simple tiara. Try it with your dress see what it looks like x x x

I'm going for a headdress for the handfasting and a tiara for the registry, possibly the reception too (I'll have to take it out for the first dance otherwise it will go flying!).
Best of both worlds (I hate veils, so it never factored in)

My advice would be to try them all on and see what looks best and feels the most comfortable.

I'm having a tiara and veil, I fell in love with them when I tried on my dress. The tiara was £190 though and the 3 tier short veil was about £150 so going to try and find a cheaper version, but don't want them to be tacky x

I'm not having any! I've bought a gorgeous pearl hair comb instead that will pin my hair up at the back because I didn't want any obvious bling :o)
