there is a guy at my work who is married, but never wears a wedding ring. I asked him why and he said that he doesnt have one! he said that he has never had one (they have only been married about 2 years). He said he never wears jewellery so didnt want a wedding ring. (even though on a night out I saw him wearing dog tags round his neck, and he is nothing to do with the army!!)

what do you think of this? are any of your men not going to have a ring? I think i would be quite upset if Shaun refused to wear a wedding ring.

My OH is going to wear a ring. I personally would be devastated if he didnt because I like the symbolism of it. I have a platinum engagement ring as he wants a platinum one and wants us to match! lol xx

My dad never wore his wedding ring and i know that upset my mum. I have bought martyn a cheap wedding band from argos 2 years ago to get used to wearing one and he now says he dont feel right not wearing it. So if he went without it i would be very upset

Both my dad and h2bs dad never had a wedding ring, no idea why really. I wouldn't be upset if h2b chose not to wear a ring. I think if anything, he really wants one and im the one not fussed!

I would want Ross to wear one - even if he didn't wear it everyday (he works with his hands a lot so it could get in the way) but it took me a while to get used to wearing my engaement ring, so I want him to wear a wedding ring! He know's this and has said he'll wear one so that's ok!!

men seem to vary. Most men asked werent too bothered mainly because it got in the way at work. My H2B hates jewellry but said he really wants a wedding ring for the meaning and symbolism behind it awww sweet

My h2b will wear his ring (he wears rings all the time anyway).

However, my mum never wore her wedding ring - she doesn't like wearing rings in general, so used to wear it on a chain around her neck. But she lost it one day at the gym - it was horrible, she was so upset. So my dad bought her another ring and she only wears it on special occasions so she won't lose it again. x

I don't actually know many men that wear a wedding ring my Dad didn't, my step-dad dosn't, don't think any of the married men in my family do either. So no it dosn't really bother me- but I know that he is really looking forward to wearing a wedding ring, bless him :-)

My other half hates them as well, he was genuinely surprised when I told him to pick one he likes as he will be wearing it for the rest of his life!

.."She'll promise you more than the Garden of Eden
Then she'll carelessly cut you and laugh while your bleeding
But she'll bring out the best and the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself 'cos she's always a woman to me.."

My H2B is a carpet fitter and has said he probably won't wear his ring on his finger at work (perhaps on a chain) as he doesn't want to damage it. Which is fair enough. I know we are married and so does he and he will wear it when he is not working :)

My dad never wore his wedding ring although he had one although I don't know exactly why but he doesn't really wear jewellry except for the occasional watch.

My H2B will be wearing his which is why we spent time hunting for the "perfect" ring to ensure he would wear it. I'd be very upset if he stopped wearing it or refused as I like the symbolisation and I just think he should.

My dad also never wears his wedding ring. His is too big but never got resized...lol but my mum doesn't mind and they have been happily married for 28years so I guess it doesn't matter.

It took 2months to find Dean the engagement ring he wanted. It then took a year to find the wedding rings he wants us to have. We searched milton keynes, northampton, cambridge, huntingdon, and peterborough just to find the rings. We live in such Ives in cambridge, he chose a ring finally in our own town centre, I was not amused. But neither of us liked the price so it took us a year to get a company such as forever wedding rings or smooch to make it for us and come to our home to discuss design! After that he had better year it!

I asked Chris and originally he said he didn't want one but it did upset me so i got him one and we made the deal that he will wear it for a month and if he isnt used to it by then, then he doesn't have to wear it. But I think he coming round to the idea.

I also told him that if he didn't have one he would be shortchanged in the ceremony because its normally included and he should get value for money!! That seemed to work a bit!!

I really wouldn't be happy if h2b didnt wear his. It's a symbol of marriage! If I wore mine I would expect him to wear his. If he didn't want to wear his ring then he wouldn't have to marry me. Harsh but I would be very upset if he refused to wear it!

My h2b recons he doesnt like jewelerry, oh well... He does manual labour, snd came up with that as an excuse to not to wear ring at all, but keep it in the box. But we have come to an agreement now - he will wear it on his right hand. :)
And we might be getting tattoos on wedding finger with the date (if he's not too scared) :D lol

My h2b said he will the wedding ring on the day but more than likely wouldn't wear it after, duno why though its not like he dislikes jewellery because he used to wear massive rings but now doesn't, i guess he cant wear it while at work but to not wear it after our day is a little upsetting x

My h2b will probably forget to put his on lol. He can't wear a ring at work as he works with machinery and its a health and safety issue and i can guarantee that for the first few weekends he'll wear it religiously, then will forget as he'll be doing other bits and pieces and won't want to get it damaged. He's got an expensive watch that i bought him in the summer and i think i've seen him wear it twice and he also has an engagement ring but he forgets to put it on unless i remind him. Tbh, i don't care if he wears it all the time or just on occasions when we go out etc as I know that he is mine, and he knows that i am his he doesn't have to wear anything to show that (not only that, i would hate for him to forget to take it off and injure himself at work)

I think a tattoo with our wedding date on his finger will be a better idea as that will never be removed...........still have to bring that up with him, not that he should object as he's covered in tats lol.
