Has anyone been to or wanting to go to Hawaii for there honeymoon? I know it's expensive but I've always wanted to go so my h2b has agreed, with it being so expensive were thing about asking guest to give vouchers as gifts towards are honeymoon has anyone else asked for vouchers to go towards the honeymoon? xx
What places would you recommend? Never been abroad before but h2b wants to take me away this year as he didn't want my first time abroad to be on are honeymoon. How long are the flights usually?

you cant fly direct thats the first thing ...... we have done via Newark (new york) and via los angles ... its a total of about 18hrs
we avoided the big name hotels both times.... yes you stay at the Sheraton etc right on the beach but the second time we still had a hotel on the beach
I went there on a royal Caribbean cruise that my nanna took me on for my 16th birthday, absolutely loved it, all the dancing, colours,flowers.... Loved seeing the Hawaiian version of the Grand Canyon,beautiful!

We're going for our honeymoon, can't wait! It's costing us just under £6k for 2 of us, flights, 5*accommodation for 2.5 weeks, 14 nights across 3 islands then 3 nights in L.A. on the way back. The travel agents we used have a wedding gift list service if you want it so guests can contribute to the honeymoon /help pay for it. We're not asking for guests to contribute to it but it's a good idea xx

I certainly will do, so excited. I'm sure you can go for less if you do 4* and maybe stay in 1 resort rather than move about and island hop. xxx

I have looked online or tried to but the only place in Hawaii I know is the one where they filmed forgetting Sarah marshal and since seeing that I've fell in love with Hawaii. Would you think are best bet for getting a good package and price would be online or at a travel agents? xxx

the main island to go to is Oahu ... that's where you will find Honolulu and Waikiki beach , thats the island we went to both times...the hotels we stayed at were the Pagoda ....and the new otani kaimana beach hotel the 2nd one is right on the beach

its beautiful ..... both the hotels are a wee bit further out but walkable into Honolulu centre , which means they are a cheaper ... if you want to know anything else feel free to give me a shout
