i decided on my colours a while ago. i wanted aqua and maybe a bit of pink somewhere.

i ordered my bm dresses in aqua on christmas day from china.

i've been looking at bouquets and i'm still undecided on whether i'll go with fresh flowers, foam, silk, wooden, paper, feather or even just a fan (it'll be HAWT over there!!)

i've been thinking today that i quite fancy the bms holding a single pink gerbera an me with a really small bouquet of 5

BUT i've been looking at pictures of the pink and orange gerberas together and i really really want to change my colours to pink and orange!!!! i think it's too late to change my order and orange is a tough colour to wear...but i REALLY want my orange and pink

i've just said to h2b i wanted to change my colours and his exact words were 'tough sheeet' lol

he thinks orange and pink are horrible together too

i'm going to google my wee heart out :)

i might get some orange and pink sashes to put around the aqua dresses and see if that'll work before i say for definite

how do you think i could fit them together though?? the dresses are already ordered in aqua.

i wish i had just said to the bm to get a dress of their choice in X colour. i like the non-uniform look. can't afford to change the dresses now :(

I think orange, aqua and pink looks good. I wanted to post a link to some nice flowers on your wall, but it won't let me. Have a look on my wall, but just ignore the green flowers.

I think you could have pink dress with aqua sashes, aqua dress with orange sash and orange dress with pink sash. Or if you have to keep the dresses aqua, I agree with @JEm1905 and have one dress with pink organza sash and one dress with orange organza sash.

i no what u mean i got purple now but really want orange but got everything in purple now so thats the colour lol unless i win the lottery then it will be orange lol xx

i'm gonna try the sashes and see what it looks like coz i can't afford to buy new dresses

we nearly got those dresses! Theyre lush, well they look it.
hint for sashes - chair bows! MUCH cheaper and made of the same stuff, either silk or organza. and they work, we tried ours out today :)
pink and orange gerberas would look nice with aqua dresses :)

Underskirt is a brilliant idea!

i would take it up a tiny bit at the front so the colour peeks through.

I decided to do an underskirt type on those flower girl dresses i am going to try and make. Figured it would look prettier, but we shall see on that on lol

I'm having aqua, orange and pink - its gorgeous. Also having gerberas :o)

There are tons on the bay - literally tons. Just type in petticoat and whatever colour you need. Haven't bought it yet so can't comment how it turned out.

Yes longer ones are more difficult - I forgot to mention that I have a short dress. Having your dyed might be the easiest but theres plenty of choice for your bms.

i've just ordered a few gerberas to see what they'll look like together in a wee bouquet and generally play about with them :)



also ordered orange chiffon sashes for the bm dresses

think i'm going to dye the petticoat i have for under my dress but don't know if it would look better with aqua, orange or pink!! any opinions??

I love the idea of a full length dress with a coloured petticoat peeking out but can't picture it and cant find any images - can anyone suggest what to google?!

I am planning a winter wedding and want to have a 50s inspired dress with some colour in it but tea length will probably leave me a little chilly!

If you wear tights and closed shoes? My 50s dress will have sleeves.

I know - that dress is actually the base for my dress. The designer is ever so nice - we git engaged two years ago and I found this dress and told the designer my design wishes. She fully and totally customises - the sketch in my albums is done by her but based on my design. Unfortunately we had to cancel our first wedding date and I'll never be able to afford her dresses (though not pricier than other dresses) - I found a great basic dress on ebay for £30 which I'm going to customise according to my design.

haha, people didnt scrunch up their faces as such! I've just been to the venue today to talk to the chair cover lady - we're having aqua and fuschia sashes together - have a look in my pics and see what you think. She said its 'bizarre but brilliant' and i think it looks just gorgeous! People know me, they know I love bright colours and so I think they just accept that bright colours would be part of the wedding. Bridesmaid dresses are in my albums if you still wonder what they look like :o) xxx
