just wondering as apparently we have eeeek! Just really hope that we dont run into anything and Im being silly. Was just wondering if anyone has picked a venue knowing this type of history to as more character to their big day and how they would feel if it was haunted.

Aaaarrgghhh that would be my worst nightmare!! I am really into ghost programmes but i dont want to stay anywhere that is reportedly haunted!I wouldnt mind being there during the day, its just the sleeping over that would bother me. I have already turned down one venue for that reason, it may seem silly but if not comfortable then im not going to be happy on the day. The venue i have picked is very old but there are no reported spooks so i think it will be fine!

Well i emailed the venue and it turns out my mums room is the most haunted haha. Shes now swapping. bless her. our room (the tower suite) has had no known sitings thankfully. I dont mind it in the day I just dont want to go to sleep. My H2B is going to pretend hes one of them (the grey lady) by holding my dress up and making it float with fishing wire and a grey wig.... I will break his leg if he does haha. I know our reception room has one but I dont mind that as I'll never be by myself in there.

Thats my thing too, its not the day its the sleeping over!! I dont mind if the building is old therefore might be, its the ones with the confirmed sightings that bother me! I googled my venue after id visited it to see if there were any hauntings attached to the building but luckily nothing so far!

i found out our wedding venue is haunted after we booked lol. the weddinbg takes place in an 13centry keep at Comlogon Castle scotland . i first new when i was looking at the venue pic on google when i saw one of the pics of the great hall when the weddings take place had a strange large smoky mark or gostly figar in the middle of the pic i later read that the castle was part of a dowry which was given when the daughter of the loard of the castle married but as the lady did not want to marry , it was said she threw herself out of the window or that her h2b arranged for her to be thrown out of the window when he found out she would not marry him lol So glad im marring durring the day and i have visited the castle and had nothing but good feelings . x

By all accounts our venue has lots of them as the daughter of the house killed his own daughter setting a man trap for her lover but she walked into it. There were also a few mental patients (when it got converted into a mental hospital) that bashed their heads against the staircase and died. Oh and also it was the first place outside of London that was allowed to sentence people to death! Lots of history in the house but I love it all.

Its called Halsway Manor in Somerset Suzky123. They have few ghosts apparently which they mention on their website, so we decided not to have our wedding there!

The venue I used to work at is - my office was one of the old bedroom chambers and there was a man constantly stood behind me. A white woman and a women in a tartan sash

We hope ours is haunted as we both love ghost nights. If it is Dee and I will be spending the night after our wedding in one of the underground tunnels or rooms together!

Ours is too. My OH is a very good medium and when we were in for our visit and chatting to the wedding co-ordinator he could sense a small child sitting next to the man as if he/she was interested in what was going on. There have been a few successful investigations in the hotel and I can't wait to spend the night there :) xxx

When we first got engaged, I wasnted to do at capesthorn hall. It looked really beautifull. Anyway, it's far too expensive for us.
But also after I said it was too expensice, it was on that live series of Ghost Hunting. So that would of made it a big no no.
I do love to watch these programs but I do not want to know if where I am is hunted.

Wouldn't bother me - quite like the supernatural so it would be interesting.

As for going to sleep in a haunted room - ghosts would get bored as I'm a heavy sleeper.
